This is my second time playing through, but on Hero mode.
The main character, Link, enters a tournament for Loftwing riders. He wins then race and then he and Zelda fly around on their Loftwings to celebrate, but abruptly a tornado sweeping Zelda off her bird and into the land below - which no one knew existed. So Link has to go to the Land below and inquire about Zelda and locate her location and bring her home. On the way to searching for her, he meets a self-proclaimed Demon Lord, who wishes to rip Zelda's/the Goddess's soul out of her vessel to resurrect his master, Demise.
I'm playing Skyward Sword on Hero mode.
