Yeah, the earlier rounds being skipped over like that stops it from being the best League even though the final 2 battles were outstanding. The best League title still does go to Sinnoh. ;)

Mehmeh there was, by the same person, but he took them all down and reuploaded them, with better quality and scripting I suppose.
Yeah, it had better make great use of the competitive scene. Also, I wouldn't mind it if bede was basically Paul but on the scale like me...he has entry hazards, IV and EV trained Pokemon taken from Showdown, the like.

Why not? Everyone knows that Jessie vs James was the height of the anime. What other show can so masterfully overlay wedding music to the sight of a Mareanie vs a Wobuffet. SM #1.

      Fate/Zero is a freaking masterpiece. 10/10.

I spent some time scrounging around the web, and I decided to play the Fate/Stay Night Visual Novel game, at least the first part of it. If I don't like it, then I'll go to the Unlimited Blade Works anime.

I find it rather disgusting Citylover is still up to his antics in a way. Can he not write anything by himself?
Also I wonder if Amvaras is just preoccupied with life or revamping their writing style.

Electro ball, not so much, Thunderbolt and Iron Tail, yes.
A pokemon's endurance and the state that it's in can weaken it's overall moves, as proven by how easily a Pokemon can go down to a fully rested Pokemon. Pikachu's last Thunderbolt didn't do much, not even paralyze it. WHY DIDN'T STATIC TRIGGER - oh wait, so charizard could win, that's right

So I know Your Name didn't pan out (although it's the #3 anime on MAL, you would have had to watch it sometime), but I'd recommend watching Re;Zero (it can get dark at times though) and Sword Art Online (yes Kirito is OP af but it's popcorn entertainment). I think you'll like them.

Going by your MAL list, I guess you haven't yet, so in that case I'll suggest you to watch them soon ASAP when you find time. Haha I realized you asked about pacing of Re;Zero not SAO. I didn't think it started off slow? Some things happen early that definitely set the stage. It might slow down for a couple of episode after that, then **** hits the fan and it ramps up.

If you look at the recommendations for S;G, the top two are ERASED and Re;Zero.

Yes now that it's done, I'll have to get on it sometime.

I see. I actually loved everyone of them cuz they all basically have exactly the same tone, just a slight change of lyrics here and there along with the scenes. There's honestly not much of a difference, cuz they are all part of the same song.

So basically your issue is that NGE is more character driven and focuses more on the internal conflicts of each character. As for the engaging part, that's hilariously untrue. Each character's past, fears and conflicts are shown in such vivid detail. You can say they are not likable personality wise (which is the point), but it's untrue that they are not engaging.
      1. Akkipeddi
        Akkipeddi
Also, can you blame anyone for not being stupidly lively and jumping around everywhere? Even Asuka's personality is a facade given her deep internal fears and struggles.

Apart from some standard and typical romantic moments between Tachibana and Mitsuha, I don't really remember anything that was memorable in the whole film. I do wonder what so many people found in this movie to consider it one of the greatest things in anime...

People have different opinions. I legit think it's one of the best anime ever made, might even rank it #1.

I disagree that it's cliche though. I've seen enough anime prior and I was still caught off guard by what happens.

It connects to people in many ways. A dramatic love story between 2 ordinary relatable people, idea of fate, longing, loneliness, sci-fi aspects, life in city vs country, adolescence into adulthood, culture. The ending was great. The animation is the best I've ever seen, and the music and voice-acting were excellent. etc.

A big fan of the Pokemon Anime. Been watching the anime for 18 years, back since when I was 7 years old, and still to date, am a huge fan of the anime, and has been always hugely invested in the Pokemon franchise as a whole. Will most likely continue being a huge Pokemon fan and watching the Pokemon anime for the rest of my life with a lot of enthusiasm!

Have completed my student life in September 2017, when I completed my masters (M.A.) in English. But forging an educational career proved too much. I love music and singing has been by aspiration and passion since my childhood. On 18th December 2017, I finally took a huge step towards that, recording my first song as a playback singer!

I am a huge fan of sports, especially Cricket, which is obviously a hugely popular sport in the world, especially in my country.

Interests: Watching anime, Music (both singing and listening), Sports (Cricket, Football, Tennis)

My favourite anime(s): Pokemon anime (apart from OS Kanto, the whole BW series and the SM series), Digimon anime (Adventure, Adventure 02, Tri), Yu-Gi-Oh! anime (Season 0, Duel Monsters, GX), FullMetal Alchemist (03 and Brotherhood), Attack On Titan, Hunter x Hunter (2011), Code Geass: Lelouch Of The Rebellion, My Hero Academia, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Fate series (Fate/Zero and Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works), Kill La Kill, Akame Ga Kill!, Magi series (Adventure Of Sinbad, The Labyrinth Of Magic and The Kingdom Of Magic), Assassination Classroom, Death Note, The Promised Neverland, Food Wars!
