I know... that was the most surprising part of the movie. For a minute there, I actually thought Mr. T forgave her, but I was totally shocked when he threw her in the furnace :/
And did you notice how the couple Lucy and Benjamin Barker was being torn apart from the start? Judge Turpin fell in love with Lucy and tried to take her away, and Mrs. Lovett fell in love with Benjamin and tried to take him away.

I saw the movie the week it came out. It's good, but it's sad. Especially in the end.
There's a play version of it too. You can find it on Youtube, I think.
