If you joined and your not a gym leader, then your a challenger... Your goal is to defeat eight gym leaders, not neccesarily in order, then beat the elite4 in order, and then fight the champion (although there isn't one now as far as I know, the first person to defeat the e4 is the first champion, all others after the first must beat the old champ to become the new one.). I am a gym leader.
