I seem to be the exception to that.
True, but R/B/Y/G/S/C and the red Gyarados were cut off from R/S and all subsequent games. It held value as a real shiny pokémon up until HG/SS when it was re-released as a forced encounter. To me, Johto red Gyaradoses hold as much value as version-exclusive legendaries such as Groudon, Ho-Oh, Dialga, etc.

I'm not gonna get into a region war. I'm simply pointing out a what a drastic difference in rarity a region can make on a pokémon. Red Gyaradoses lost their value once they were made one-per-game.
its not fair :/ she was working with a bad guy - liek a spy. but in the end, she made friends and doesnt wanna hurt peeps but my gal became evil and.. accidentaly killed her
