Yeah, it's a chore just remembering to take it places. I got lucky and got a ton of street passes when I went to VGC earlier this year.

It will always be inferior to wired technology, at least until very far down the road when we master wireless technology.
I think 3DS Wi-Fi is pretty good. No lag whatsoever on Mario Kart.

Online gaming has come far, so there's really no excuse for it to be laggy or uncooperative.
I suppose buying a LAN adapter would help too, as opposed to going solely off Wi-Fi.

Don't know. I don't have a Wii U as of yet, but at least there's an actual network now, and people don't have to use friend codes anymore.
