You could try Leftovers and a partner that uses Surf.

No, he's way too weak otherwise, usually KO'd in one hit. Substitute is really helpful, too much so to pass up. If you don't use Substitute, you could easily use something else, like Water Absorb Poliwrath, just not as much healing, but more bulk.

It's especially useful at stalling out slower sweepers, because he effectively heals off 3/4 of the HP spent on the Substitute. Sucker Punch is also useful for finishing off annoying faster sweepers.
