The understanding you need can be a lot larger than for say, Smogon who keep about 30 pokemon relevant per tier. Unless you go against someone like Poema who uses lower tiered pokemon and non cookie-cutter sets to anger Smogon elitists lol

Double battle formats have the problem of cheap turn one gimmicks if someone isn't aware of what a pokemon can do. When you're doing randoms or laddering etc. you should have a fake outer / taunter to lead with in case you see some bizarre pokemon on the other team.

Random battles are best done out of 3 because of the randomness. I'll think of an official battle limit per day so that it's more concise and people are still encouraged to practice more. I just jotted down all of the matches and will record them soon :)

Most competitive talk happens in the Discord, battles can be posted here for DD, a currency to buy competitive BR pokemon. We have lots of helpful faces that can get you in the right direction for any format you want to play.

I feel in VGC it's vital to have a z-move because of its ohko potential. It can snowball a match super hard. And some z-moves certainly do too much, and might lead to a M-Khan situation again.

It is still early in the meta, very early in fact, and when bank opens up it's hard to say what exactly will happen. Lando-T will probably still reign, but other than that it's hard to tell.

Do you actually have a farm/ plantation? I've tried chaining for an HA Mareanie 3 times now... and I'm certainly not enjoying it.
