Swords Dance + Bullet Punch works good.
I've obtained 3 shinies through EV training and generally fighting wild Pokémon.
Do you need Power items?
If you're killing Psy/Golducks, teach it Thunderbolt or something.
Poor Psyducks.
I don't know what to kill in gen 4 for Sp. Atk EVs. I'm always taking out Litwicks and Elgyems.
Nasty Plot? Nah. Just go to the Heart Scale move tutor guy.
The recharge is of little concern, actually. Especially if you throw in Nasty Plot.
Even Rest Umbreon has a hard time holding that back.
I'll list all the potential multipliers of a Porygon-Z using Hyper Beam:
STAB boost + Adaptability + Silk Scarf
As stupid as it sounds at first, teach it Hyper Beam.
