We won against Kimgston Saturday morning! Now we're 3-3, and I don't think we're gonna slow down! Now we have Pine Bush on Thursday. They're a pretty good team. Last year they were our most intense game. Some kids were crying... There were interceptions and scores and injuries throughout the whole game. Our defense didn't let them score from like the two yard line. If they had scored then, they would've won. It was an emotional game. This year we're all hoping for an easier win.

That'd be a pretty awesome superbowl. I'm playingg Kingston, a pretty good team on Saturday. Who's Alma playing this week?

Yeah I love the Yankees. I don't hate the Lions, but I don't love them either. It'd be nice to see them in the playoffs, though. I'm a Giants fan, and in close second is the Seahawks. The Giants are having a horrible season, so I'm relying on the Seahawks to make me proud.

Yeah our varsity team is always really great. In the MLB I'm a diehard Yankees fan. I have so much merch its not even funny. But I was talking about the NFL. You might've already told me, but I forgot. Was it the Packers?

Oh man that must stink losing homecoming. It stinks that your team wont make the playoffs. At least the college team you like is doing great! I beat Valley Central, and now we're 2-3. I'm pretty sure varsity beat them as well. Who do you like in the major league?

Ankle injuries always suck. I had one last year. Nice job being able to muscle through that and still make some plays! I don't know if I'll be able to play thursday, but I hope so. Also, my varsity team's qb was injured, and he's not playing this week. Hopefully the backup can do as well as him. How's alma doing with injuries?

      TheEliteEmpoleon
Yeah I think they can do it this year. They've certainly done it before. My first (of only three) home game is Thursday, and I don't think I'll be playing in it. Yesterday my elbow got landed on backwards and I kinda popped it out. I'm getting an x-ray today, when I'm supposed to be at school. Did you ever have any injuries?

Ooh that stinks. Jopefully Alma can stop those little mistakes like turnovers and win those games, especially homecoming. My team got our first win against Minisink on Thursday. It was awesome, and I think we will win the rest of our games. The score was 28-0. Varsity also won their game. It was homecoming, and it was awesome. 41-7. This week is Valley Central, who should be easy.

That sounds like a great game. Varsity beat Newburgh. Now they're 3-0. Next we play Minisink. They are tough. JV hasn't beaten them since 04, so if we could win against them. It would be our first win and a statement that we don't suck as much as some people are saying. They always hit hard. As long as I've played, I've never beaten them. It'll also be varsity's homecoming game. That means spirit week and peprally are this coming week. It's really early for us this year, but that's because the next three games after Minisink for Varsity are away games, and then it'd be too late.

Wow its been a while. Sorry about that, but school hit me hard the first few days. We lost to Warwick, and lost again to another team, Newburgh, last night. Both AA schools like us, and both losses we could've won. Coach took the starting o line out and put other kids in it as the starters because we weren't physical enough. I just haven't felt like talking about it I guess, too. We're 0-3, and our varsity is 2-0, with Newburgh tonight. I'm going, because I want to see them kick ***. So how is Alma doing?
    11. TheEliteEmpoleon
      TheEliteEmpoleon
Yeah. It was a really good team. But that's done and its time to move on. Today, coach said that the 2nd O-line members could take the first team members' spots easily because of our performance. He said I need to get even more physical, or the kid behingd me is going to take my spot. It's really stressful, and school starting doesn't help the matter either... Who is Alma playing next?

Man that's tough. Getting used to Varsity must be tough, especially if your starting as a junior or sophomore. We lost today too. We went down to Long Island to play a team from Holy Cross, a Christian school. I think everyone thought we were going to win, so they didn't go as hard. In the first qurter, HC surprised us with their intensity, and each team scored one touch down. Throughout the game they overwhelmed us more and more and won 27-7. I feel like crap because the group at fault for us not putting up points was the o-line. The other team's defense was tricky, and had like five different formations with multiple stunts for each. We just couldn't adjust. Mainly it was the guards, though, because the middle linebacker made pretty much every tackle. I'm worried; next thursday we play our rivals, Warwick. They're tough, and we only have three practices to learn their tactics. On top of that, school starts next week.

Yeah, jerks usually end up being all bark and no bite. Michigan destroyed CM. You really like them a lot it seems. Did you want to go there for college? I can't wait for the M/ND game either. The difference is that we want different teams to win! I think it'll be a really good game to watch, no matter who wins.

So the team had 24 kids, which was surprising. They were on offense first, and our defense thought they would be easy. They weren't at all. Since it was a scrimmage each offense had fifteen plays at a time, and during their first offense they scored two touchdowns. The d-line didn't play well the whole game. At least offense did good, especially the line. The guy I was blocking was a jerk though. He kept hitting and pushing me after the whistle blew and when I wasn't looking. I eventually learned all his moves and he never touched the ball or scumbagged me again. We really dominated towards the end; we got touchdown after touchdown, and we won the scrimmage by a lot. It's cool that you're going to the Michigan/Central Michigan game. Who are you rooting for?

Yeah being home beats being away any day. Is Freeland a really good team? Yeah I'm really excited for tomorrow! I'll be sure to tell you how we did.

      TheEliteEmpoleon
Oh man that stinks. Sounds like the team was bouncing back only defensively. But hey, next week is a home game, so the team will probably be more pumped up and excited to win, so hopefully they do. Today was my last day of doubles. Tomorrow is pre-game, and then saturday is the first game! I can't wait for it!

Nice! Today was even better. I successfully reach blocked the fastest d-lineman we have today at practice, and my coach was really impressed. Reach blocking is the hardest block, in my opinion. Thanks for the good luck, and good luck to your high school's team

Thanks for the luck. Today the other guy crumbled, so my coach put me in, and I kicked ***. Now the other kid is at d-tackle. He's pretty versatile. My first game is a scrimmage against a team from a upstate. We scrimmaged them last year, the only difference is that this year we're home, so we don't have that three hour bus ride! My team's defense is like your school's: the majority, I think 8 or 9 of them are freshmen. Are you going to go to their first game?

Well right now me and my friend are in a fight for the starting spot. It's tough, but my advantage is that he doesn't know what he's doing. My coach only put him there because he's quick and can hit pretty hard. Anyway, we had first cuts yesterday, and basically all the kids I thought were getting cut got cut. We also got our jerseys. I got one of my favorites, 77. My friends did something kinda corny; one took 55, another took 66, and another took 88. Its pretty cool, and we'll have a lot of fun with that in the halls at school!

It's been great so far. Everything is getting better: the sleeping schedule is becoming easier, practice itself, and I'm less sore every day after practice. The actual practices have been tiring, but fun. I like my team, except for a few freshmen. I'm not playing TE/HB anymore, because they found a quicker guy. My coach put me at guard, which I didn't like too much, but I still got to start. Today he moved me to tackle and hopefully that's where I'll stay. I liked that change because I took the place of a kid in my grade who I hate, and I like tackle better.
