Yeah? I played on my friend's B for a bit and it was pretty refreshing, mostly b/c it was like its own generation. No rattatas or zubats, just gen 5 pokes.
And I can't really say I have a fave. I preferred G/S/C to HG/SS, but it could be the novelty factor, although the idea of pokes following you was a factor that nintendo should have included in ALL their games. SO MUCH FUN. I liked gen 3 pokes quite a lot. Liked Hoenn's geography and going underwater. Gen 4 was also pretty sweet and I loved pokeradar for the better chance to get shinies. I didn't play R/B/G/Y, my first game was Silver, but I really can't choose a fave. I just love them all. Grew up with Pokemon so I'm super biased.

Sure, there's the fun aspect of it, but if you look at it more seriously, it's chess, rock-paper-scissors, card games, etc all piled into one franchise. People make fun of it, but you have to be smart to play it right.
And will be getting W once I get the money.. since all my friends have B.
