Hi! I saw your post (from 2008) in strange pokemon facts etc. "the geodude line is very strange. A rock turns into a rock that turns into a reptilian golem boulder thingy " I just thought, what if the reptile creature was inside the geodude all along? But its still really wierd how the substance of the rock changes between Graveller and Golem. Maybe it has something to do with the trade? A rock gets contact with a creature (that might exist) that starts living in it. I dunno, just thought id share it

keep trying it takes a while, as for the items, it depends on what role the pokemon are playing, like for example ferrothorn, you either want rocky helmet or leftovers while pokemon with the ability sheer force deserves a life orb
