Have you played it yet? I got the Platinum yesterday afternoon, and was finally gonna do NG+ in Type-0 HD, but decided to postpone that. I'm just several trophies away from Dragon Quest Heroes' Platinum, so I'll get to that first.

It's nothing like a sandbox game. You can really describe it unless you play it. Try playing it. The game gives you 3 character slots, so you should make one without messing up your bro's file.

The platinum is very easy. You don't have to go out of your way to get any trophies.

Cool that you're enjoying it! I also enjoyed my time with the game, even with some really glaring issues. Yeah, I finished the game Tuesday morning and got the platinum trophy. I plan on doing NG+ to get some more story stuff and unlock the alternate ending.
