Winning a Mew at Toys'R'Us by getting sticker cards and peeling the Mew one, back when Gen 1 (and Yellow) was out. If there was a "winner" underneath, you could collect a Mew ^_^
Karen didn't have much of a specialty... In Gen 2, we had Umbreon, Sneasel, Murkrow, Houndoom and Tyranitar, and she used a Vileplume and Gengar. We literally had FIVE Dark-type Pokémon (minus evos), and she didn't used them all :P
You could argue that Will had TWO Xatu, when one could have...
To each their own, and that's fine. However, if you waited for SV to play online multiplayer with [part of] a returning team, you're screwed :S
It's like if a TCG disallowed you to use your older decks in favor on new ones. There's also the fact that some Pokémon could use updates in each new...
Here's what's problematic without the National Dex:
HOME is used as storage, but in reality, only half of the Pokémon you caught can be used in later games. You are paying for the service, in the end. If it was part of the NSO, it wouldn't be that bad, since you would gain online multiplayer as...
Bending the knee for the Pokémon Company for offering less content over time and not using their extra resources to rectify all of them, such as bumping from 200 to 2,000 employees... adorable
There shouldn't even be talk about DLC if GameFreak would have added a Battle Tower with...
Here's a tangent that should be explored: a Leader's apprentice.
You meet a Leader's apprentice throughout your journey, occasionally fighting them with an ever-evolving/changing line-up, and at the end, they're the 8th Leader with a powerful team ;)
I dunno, maybe they're the child or even...
I meant that you're not transfering Personas from one game to the next. They wipe the slate clean in every iteration. Yes, there are returning Personas, but you're not pushed to use your previous loadout in P4 into P5.
Pokémon? Sucks to be you if you have a shiny Leavanny...
The difference is that you're not collecting them. You're not collecting armor parts or Persona, unlike Pokémon.
Imagine a Yu-Gi-Oh! or Magic the Gathering game without 75% of its library...
The 3DS proved that they could have 800+ Pokémon. All they need to figure out how to manage transfered...
Then GameFreak should make it happen.
Right now, several Pokémon can't receive new moves and abilities, because they cannot be transfered from HOME. At this point, what's the purpose of HOME if it's only to store your Pokémon. That's like placing money in an account you CANNOT use whenever you...
Would love a good punching Fighting-type move though^^;
Oh, yeah, good point... Still sucks that Meowscarada learns Power Gem, which is a Special move, a.k.a. useless due to its low Special Attack stat.
Come to think of it, it's a Steel type... which was weak to Ground... and Earthquake...
