I mean back in Gen 3 they didn't have any 3D models.
In gen 6 it only requires a Flying type or a Pokemon with Levitate to participate in Sky Battles. Next Gen it could Require only Water type Pokemon to participate in Underwater Battles. :3

Yeah thats a good feature as well.
