Honestly.. I don't have a Male Oshawott..
But if you look on Wikipedia you will find they usually have a section dedicated to that one Pokemon's Egg group.

Come to the Wi-Fi room, also if it is able to happen with a Lillipup then it will most likely work with Lillipup's evolutions.

Only the Female Snivy or it's evolutions can breed and the egg be of it's own species.
Or if you use a Ditto (The genderless species) and breed it with Male or Female Pokemon the egg will hatch as the other Pokemon, never Ditto.
