Hmm.. A tricky thing to do indeed. I'm sorry to say that that animation is not the correct way of going about it. B/W style animations usually contain artificially rotated pieces and parts, and they have many frames so they look fluid. The one you made is jerky due to a lack of frames and has no rotated parts. It's quite difficult to sprite in that style without a program that can rotate sprites properly.

(The animation doesn't make much sense either. Is it sashaying?)

the way I have the gyms and rival teams set up is similar to DPt, you see all the Unova Pokemon to complete the dex at game's end, so GL, Rivals and E4 showcase the harder to find ones.
