It honestly depending on the circumstances. If someone uses an Icy Wind for example to block a Silver Wind, that's called chaining. This is when the attacker and the defender are immune from taking damage, and there are more attacks fired at anyone else. To avoid all they must also chain. As a protect would only defend against one of the winds.
But sometimes like a Surf would hit everyone AND do reduced damage to the attacker if it is used to defend a Heat Wave for example.

Yup, AS. I did fine in Maths and somehow French, it's just I (and this other girl in my class set up for an A) severely cocked up the English exam so I'll definitely have to get it remarked/resat, lmao. I actually felt quite happy with how it went too.
