Yeah, more mainstream, but they are still melodeath. unlike a7x who went from metalcore (which is not metal, it's hardcore with metal influrences) to Hard Rock.
About you post in the modern metal thread. No, A7X is not metal. Not because their older works are "metalcore" but, because modern metal have changed a lot. Metal is like Children of Bodom and In Flames, A7X lacks the heavyness, and is more in the line of Disturbed, so it's closer to Hard rock than metal, in every way.
