I love Pokemon, but I've never really played up the stradegy angle all that much. Heck, I don't even used any moves that don't do damage, usually ('cept poison or sleep). I never IV/EV breed or whatever, I just pick a pokemon I like and roll with it, I don't even bother with natures most of the...
Yeah, I figured out how to do the Voltorb Flip game after several tries when I first got the game, but usually I don't feel like thinking that much so I only play it every once in a while. It would be nice to get a Porygon eventually, but I usually die at level 4, 5, or 6 'cause I miscalculate...
;483; Diagla's pretty awesome with time control and being a dragon, but I'd say my favorite 4th gen legendary is Uxie. ;480; Uxie reminds me of Mew, only grey and with yellow bowl-cut hair, two tails, and a sort of blank sleepy look... I think that's awesome: just looks so neutral and chillaxed...
I picked Chikorita in Gold and was happy with it until it evolved and had that flower around it's neck, LOL. I still kinda like Chikorita, though, cause it was my first pokemon and all that.
So in Soul Silver I chose Cyndaquil, 'cause now this time I knew it would evolve into the awesome...
I always loved Lugia. I had Gold as a kid, but my best friend had Silver and I always envied him. Lugia is so cool. That's the main reason why I chose Soul Silver over Heart Gold (even though both are available in either game).
I chose Treecko, because I didn't know the final evolutions so I thought a lizard would be cooler than a bird and a fish-thing. Treecko turned out to be pretty cool looking but if I ever replay Sapphire, I think I'll choose Torchic.
(edit) Reasons for picking these: basically, they look cool. Yeah. Kinda lame but, that's my reason. Plus, I'll have a variety of pokemon types, for going against gym leaders and whatnot. I put the types beside each pokemon (mostly for my own benefit: to help me remember which pokemon is which)...
