A lista está assim agora: Final Fantasy IX>>>Final Fantasy Tactics>>>Final Final Fantasy VI>>Final Fantasy X>Final Fantasy V.

A Designer can't rely solely on their own ideas, they have to take critisism; otherwise they end up a lackluster game. They are relying on what they use to be, but is in no way a Legend themsleves; they were a Legend as seperate companies. Technically they've screwed up Kingdom Heats by just releasing spin-offs. Yeah, can't screw up what they didn't make nor giving a chance to exist. No wonder I've felt underwhelmed this generation. Everything suffered because they put all the bufget into Graphics. Those Gamers thankfully are not a major part of the Industry and have moved on to the next thing. Looks like the Industry is starting to recover.
Honestly, Final Fantasy XIII had none of that good game vibe, it did from the trailers, but the game itself was just felt shallow. Good graphics can make a good game better, but good graphics on a decent game at best will make it feel shallow. Graphics do not sell the game, yet sadly this what this gaming generation has focused on; consumers and designers alike. Hell, I wrote a paper on graphical fidelity, and it's plague on the Industry. Of course no one told them the characters were bad. Besides being bad, you don't tell your boss they're wrong if you value your good sadly. Especially if your bosses are Legends, you're not going to question them; not to mention they are infallible in their won minds so you're opinion does matter and can hurt you. Not a very good trade off, nor designers who ignore criticism.
Decent doesn't cut it, especially for a Game Series like Final Fantasy. Square Enix thought their game was superb when it was not, and relied solely on the Final Fantasy name as apposed to the Game's quality. I don't know how they don't see the core considering a lot of JRPGs know that World engagement is the core. Yeah, past X and all the games felt like something else a not some other good game. Funny that they can't even give a good game vibe.
Yeah, all I remember from the soundtrack is Blinded by Light. Decent doesn't cut it simply because in a Market were amazing exists, that means that decent is overlooked simply because there's better. Final Fantasy XIII was just largely uninteresting, and it's not surprising that NPCs are more memorable; it's not that hard to beat. The core of the Final Fantasy games has been engagement with the World in which you are interacting with. They don't care and all they care about is themselves, and their own uninteresting ideas.
Same, that's all I remember, and it's sad that the best thing about that game was a single track, and completely dwarfed everything else, just because of how crappy everything else was. Decent being the best in entertainment is one of the worst things. A product shouldn't have decent elements at best, especially if it's overall mediocre, but that saying is true. Nobou Uematsu's tracks are always memorable, but these new tracks are just forgettable and far from the core. Square Enix probably never understood the core in the first place, and it's blatantly obvious now.
Ah veiii tenho varios jogos favoritos:

    Age of Empires serie
    Pokemon serie
    Half-Life serie
    Banjo-Kazooie serie
    Super Mario serie
    The Legend of Zelda serie
    Super Smash Bros serie

e mais alguns bobinhos ae q nao me lembro agora...
All they care about is immediate money, not the long-term investment that they can get from taking some notes from the noble companies. They've been relying on their past fame, and they've forgotten the way their IPs were back in the day, that is as clear as day. Square Enix royally screwed up considering that they created a Final Fantasy that was accepted as a Final Fantasy and continued to remain oblivious, while trying to change everyone's mind to agree with them. Are they that desperate to seek the approval of the community while amazingly ignore that exact community at the exact same time. While the music wasn't as good a Nobou Uematsu. I honestly only remember Blinded by Light, and a few but it seems the soundtrack wasn't as memorable. Fang and Sazh were the best characters that game had to offer and they paled to actual good Final Fantasy Characters.
Of course they think that they are King Mightus, they were well respect companies in the past, and own two of the World's most well known IPs. Final Fantasy sold well, but then consider how may were returned, so it clears that sequels were unwarranted. They are clearly blinded by light (pun intended, but amazing soundtrack though.). They're close to the final nail being struck, and they don't realize this. Most fans have left the, and are disgusted with who they become, and that is truly bad. Many companies still care and thank them for doing just that. Square Enix aren't going to learn since they are blinded, and won't take notes from the small noble company since all they care about is money.
Same, the current Square Enix wouldn't realize it. They aren't making games for themselves and people, they are only making games for themselves, to satisfy their own twisted logic. They defiantly don't learn; it's like they have some kind of device that stops that. Like you said they are so delusional that they can do no wrong; if they realized this they would clearly die since it's such a stunning revelation. Same, it's beyond me too. So many Game Designers actually care about the games that they, and sadly none of them are at Square Enix, sucks to be Square Enix. Game Designers know that their is probably not going to have mainstream popularity, and they continue making games knowing that someone will enjoy it. I respect them because they care.
