Actually, I believe I narrowed down the holistic reason as to why I don't believe I would be what I consider to be a good fanfiction writer: my writing style, regardless of subject, is almost entirely in what is commonly referred to as left-brain style. That is to say, even when tasked with writing a fictional narrative, I virtually always write stories in a linear, analytic, nonfiction-like way. The end result comes off reading more like a list of events with direct causes and effects, including in thought processes, with no ability to manipulate the reader's emotions other than to surprise them with just how cold and matter-of-fact my writing tone can be, regardless of what's happening.
