Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I've been on the forums, but I just thought I'd come back to share with you all something I've been working on for many months.
As a long time Pokemon fan, I love Pokken, and as such, I too have a wishlist of Pokemon I'd love to see as fighters in...
I have an old Masquerain set from 6th Gen that, with a bit of tweaking, could still be useful today.
Masquerain@Leftovers
Bold Nature
IV's: 0 Atk/0 Sp.Atk
Intimidate
252 HP/252 Def/4 Sp.Atk
-Power Split
-Sticky Web
-U-turn
-Roost
With Intimidate as it's ability and Power Split, it...
If I remember correctly, Kartana Attack remains it's highest stat even when uninvested and with a neutral attack Nature. Would there be any merit to maxing out HP and Speed with the role of Defogger?
Believe it or not, Hawlucha has a defensive option!
El Gallo Astuto
Hawlucha@Lum Berry/Leftovers
252 HP/252 Spe/4 Def
Jolly Nature
Mold Breaker
-Roost
-Encore
-FeatherDance
-U-turn
This is a defensive pivot set that allows Hawlucha to mess up the opponent and make things easy for...
Delphox resists 7 types while being weak to the 5 most commonly used attack types. It's no wall, I know, but saying Delphox can't get in safely without being OHKOd is underestimating its defensive potential. I know Delphox can't handle things like Alakazam and Gengar. That job is more fitted for...
This is probably the first mega we've had where the Mega and Non Mega forms of the pokemon can perform wildly different functions from each other. This is obvious with a pokemon with a Klutz ability, sure, but I think we're all forgetting to address the mindgames it brings just seeing regular...
Since offensive sets are going to be posted all over this thread, let's try a gimmicky mega loppuny defensive set.
Loppuny@Loppunite
Limber Ability
Careful Nature
252 HP/252 Sp.Def/4 Def
-Cosmic Power
-Drain Punch
-Heal Bell
-Facade/Baton Pass
Loppuny's Sp.Def doesn't change upon Mega...
See, I needed help with the EVs for a reason, as I don't really memorize speed tiers all that well. Yeah, those pokemon outspeed and can KO or 2HKO Delphox, but they can easily be taken care of with Sticky Web support. How about this, then?
Delphox@Leftovers
Bold Nature

Hypnosis is a coin flip between life and death, almost literally, for Delphox in particular depending on the match up. Against something like Heatran with Earth Power, it can keep Delphox in the game or end its life then and there. Although, Heatran 2HKOs Delphox with Earth Power regardless of...
I need some help figuring out the EVs of these pokemon.
Delphox@Leftovers
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 HP/212 Def/44 Spe
Nature: Timid
-Wish
-Will-o'-wisp
-Hypnosis
-Mystical Fire
The moves are solid. It's just the EVs I need help on. I don't study speed tiers so sorry if I'm missing...
Of course I know that Poison Fang is a crappy physical move (Tyrantrum's Strong Jaw Boosted Poison Fang still doesn't KO Fairies reliably, most of his elemental fangs even outdamage it), I just like Poison Fang better as a utility move. To me the appeal is a Taunt proof way of inflicting Bad...
I still stand my ground that Poison Fang is a good if not equal option over Toxic regularly. Maybe I just favor the notoriety of the move.
I don't keep track of tiers so a lot of my talk was of Golbat and Crobat in OU. Poison/Flying is a good defensive typing.
Last I recall, you didn't need Infiltrator to have Taunt go through a Substitute.
That said, I do reckon Golbat makes better use of Poison Fang than Toxic, due to Golbat's speed tier. It's 50/50 on whether they are poisoned or not, so choosing between that or being Taunted depends on how lucky...
Seriously? Is this true? I have trouble believing it, since I swear I've had Toxic miss on me in extreme circumstances. I'm not calling you a liar, but this can't be true...
Still, Poison Fang is one of the better options over Toxic, since it bypasses Taunt and has 5 more base PP. That's just...
Back in Pokemon Battle Revolution Random Wifi Doubles, people were plagued by Darkrai's and their super fast Dark Void. I had been primarily a Trick Room user for a long time up until I took one too many losses to Dark Void.
That's when I got myself a Crobat.
At max Speed and Nature, Crobat...
Rather than using two boosting moves to boost all of Klefki's best stats, I feel like you could get much more mileage by moving all EVs into HP and Def, with the remaining 4 into Sp.Atk, and replacing Iron Defense with Flash Cannon.

Don't ever let it be forgotten that ChestoRest + Recycle makes a wall into an immovable object, and Cresselia is one of the lucky pokemon that keeps the strategy consistent and abusable. Granted, Recycle is vulnerable to Knock Off and Cresselia is already Knock Off weak, but should all Knock Off...
Because of Sticky Web, I think Metagross should wait the longest of many Mega Evos thanks to Clear Body and Intimidate. Once Sticky Web is gone and the Intimidates are taken care of, Metagross should Mega Evolve.
Now, I don't know why no one's talking about Metang here.

It's worth running Grass Knot to 2HKO pokemon that would stop your sweep but there is the problem of the fact that you have to sacrifice a bit of power to do it.
96 Sp.Atk Neutral Nature Grass Knot is a guaranteed 2HKO on Max HP Slowbro (and Mega Slowbro since he doesn't gain any Sp.Def Mega...
Just as a side note, I argued with some peeps on Showdown that we'd see a lot of Mixed MegaMetagross using Grass Knot since it's Meta's most reliable way of removing Grass Types. Granted, Rotom-W still walls you hard (small chance of 2hkoing with Zen Headbutt), but everything else will be...
