i may be in the minority here, but them not having special fields involved in this means the pokemon can't use them to tip the scales of battle, and are forced to rely upon their own power.
After all, i know there have been times where using the terrain had too much of an effect on a battle...
What I mean about rightfully using is that Ash getting pokemon like Dragonite, Gengar and Dracovish, it's like how Paul caught Ursuring back in sinnoh, a pokemon several people felt was overkill since they thought he was a rookie until he revealed that he had traveled through the other regions...
Ash has been "reset" to a degree ever since back in hoenn, be it through using nothing but new pokemon that have to be raised from the ground or in some cases his own skill like in BW, thankfully things have rebounded since then with each series afterwards increasing Ash's growth despite being...
I mean yeah i don't care if it's SV region pokemon or not, who knows maybe they could finally give him one of those you mentioned.
I even don't mind if he gets a starter this time either, I just wanted them to break from that 1 time since they always felt like locks for Ash.
When people suggest this, they want it to happen in full, like Brock and Misty were for him in earlier gens and from start to finish with this person actually traveling with Ash for the entire series.
As you say, Goh, May and Dawn went their own ways, and Sawyer didn't travel with Ash full time...
I don't necessarily disagree with Ash catching a couple of pokemon who need to be raised and trained, but not a whole team of them.
I'd rather they continue what journey's started, let him get some pokemon already fully evolved, and only a couple that need to be raised and trained like Riolu...
Except that we have multiple episodes with Ash and Leon interacting and battling Leon is Ash's goal this series.
it would be extremely wrong if they didn't follow through on that.
It's not exactly hard to deal with Chloe after yesterday's episode since that story is pretty much done, and...
some have speculated that project mew might be when goh "leaves" so we may not even see it.
also, why would they hype up Ash and Leon and not give us that, they already got huge backlash from the kalos league, which some think is the reason Ash won the alola league, you think they want to risk...
there have been many occasions where we've seen things just as bad if not worse than what Lucario did.
true, but it'd be a nice thing to touch upon since some mega's have changes to certain area's.
Wish i had caught this earlier.
Leon so far is essentially Alain 2.0, yeah he sweeps people alright...but only with one pokemon for the most part. Sure Rilaboom took out Alain's Chesnaught, but it in turn got beaten quickly afterwards.
Every other major battle he's been involved in, he always...
I don't think so either.
is this humiliation talk fed by those who want her to lose, or by those who feel Ash shouldn't be using his jn's team against her?
cause i'm thinking more the latter here.
except he was kind of forced to do that given the circumstances, who's to say the opposite won't happen against Leon? he could primed to use G-max gengar, but then have to switch to another gimmick depending on what Leon does.
Kind getting off topic, I say we end this here and focus on this fight.
yet if it was a pokemon you loved in particular being "shoved" in people's faces, you'd look the other way and enjoy it while others complained in your place.
to be fair, if Lucario goes mega here that would mean each gimmick has been used twice so far.
so Ash could still use whatever in the...
Posts like this remind me of how much this anime in general can not win, you could have a gloriously animated battle, but if the results don't match up, it still fails in the end.
Example: Ash vs Alain in the kalos league. great animation, but lackluster combat and bad finish due to overhyping...
problem is, how does Pikachu benefit from this without a fly as an attack option? since doesn't the change in typing mean that it changes what moves get the STAB boost and power up? It would be kind of dumb if Pikachu was given a different typing through this new gimmick but had no moves to go...
thing is most of the ride pokemon in Alola were functionally used in the same manner as HM's which is a concept the anime never really toyed with that much anyway outside of the OI where it was obvious the only reason Ash got Lapras was to surf around them, and with the exception of Stoutland...
