When using Mega Evolutions, the only thing that doesn't change is the speed stat on the turn it mega evolves right? So they still get the ability of the Mega Evolution the turn it mega evolves. Charizard Y summons sunlight, Absol still reflects spikes, etc. Now, can someone explain to me why...

Same here! I have already set aside that day to get the games and play them XD doubles is fun, I like the metagame because it is different than singles, and sometimes Pokemon that can't thrive in singles do much better in doubles, which makes it interesting.

I am actually really curious to see what the next gen competitive battling will be like. I am a little impartial on the whole "Mega Evolution" thing, but some of them do look really cool, and many of them seem capable of dictating what the metagame will be like. I think Gengar will be a beast...
