You can literally put Fighting in as a fixed slot as well though... since the only region he didn't get one was Hoenn (You forgot Heracross in Johto).

I rather they skip Dragon, since he has had 2 in Journeys Team i want for Ash. Fire, Water, Grass, Ice as the wildcard typing and for the laughs, give him the Maushold line.

I personally have the feeling Ash is getting Quaxly... since he hasn't gotten the water starter for two generations now. However... i wouldn't mind him getting all three, with Fuecoco being the one that remains unevolved (Since Ash has yet to get a Fire starter that remain base stage).
