    Mistakes on Serebii.net V2

Error: The daily Pokemon section says "Underground Encounters" https://www.serebii.net/pokearth/sinnoh/trophygarden.shtml Also, the link back to Pokemon Mansion takes you to the DPPt version, because apparently there is no BDSP version of it yet...

    Mistakes on Serebii.net V2

Couple things about the otherwise fantastic status afflictions page: Poison - "faints" is missing its t in the first line. Poison Touch should probably be mentioned as an ability that can afflict Poison. (Its omission is especially ironic considering the Pokemon chosen to represent it was...

    Regional Variants/Alolan Forms Discussion Thread

Steel is a terrible defensive type. That is why every one of my comments was saying that it needs to be able to perform offensively to be good. All of your arguments as for why that cannot happen hinge on its Attack not increasing. I think that is one of the most likely things to increase, now...

New Moves & Abilities Discussion Thread

I would love love love love an Unown School form. That would be amazing! They would have to allow Unown access to some more moves though, as with it being an in-battle form change, it wouldn't really be possible for it to have a different movepool. Hahaha, yes! That would be the perfect name...

Saying a Pokemon is "stronger" than another is subjective at the best of times, because something can have an unequivocally worse BST, or a normally useless ability, but be the perfect fit for the team you're building. Case in point: Se Jun Park's Pachirisu. My comments in bold.

Agreed. This is the first time I have ever had plans to use two Bugs on my in game team. And the only one I've ever used all the way through to the Champion was a Yanmega in Platinum, and he was a late addition. Usually I catch one in the first few routes/forest to use at the beginning, and...

They don't "go" anywhere. You can't actually see or use them in the demo, but they are being saved behind the scenes so you can send them to the main game later.

Moves (apart from Flying Press) only have one type, so Primarina is perfectly able to just use Water moves on a Fire type for SE damage. As Paul1985 mentioned, Turtonator is kind of Primarina's nemesis type-wise, because its Dragon typing cancels out Fire's Water weakness, and its Fire typing...

Fun fact, with a 128-bit key, there are 340,282,366,920,938,463,463,374,607,431,768,211,456 (340 duodecillion) different combinations. Or, about 829 quintillion times the number of seconds since the beginning of the universe (roughly 410,240,038,000,000,000). Ain't nobody brute forcing that any...

Thanks :) I had to think for a while about some of them, but Lycanroc and Crabrawler were two that just fit immediately. Arena Trap is definitely another appropriate possibility for Sandyghast and Pallossand, so I wouldn't be surprised if that ends up being correct. I'm all for more...

Gen 6 had just as many in the form of Delphox, Vivillon, Florges, most of Furfou's forms, Aromatisse, Sylveon, Gourgeist, Diancie. But I really don't see what the problem is to be honest. If you don't like a Pokemon, don't use it. Not all designs are going to be aimed at you. (Not referring to...

Uhh, pretty sure that's Dragon Pulse, or even just Dragon Breath. EDIT: It does in fact have the Z-Move name banner underneath, but sadly I cannot read it.

Localisations mean next to nothing. The most pertinent example being the fact that Mr. Mime is just as often female. Case in point: a male Oricorio.

    Regional Variants/Alolan Forms Discussion Thread

Alolan Sandslash has an awesome design and I am planning on using it in my in game team, but I don't have high hopes for it competitively. It seems to me that the only way it could be viable is if it gets an ability as its HA which is effectively the Hail version of Swift Swim, which would make...

Oricorio has never been stated to be female-only, and even if it had been, that doesn't mean Dancer has to be.

Pretty sure you misinterpreted what Akashin was saying as the complete opposite of what he meant. He's saying that it would be silly to have Red and Blue show up in SuMo if the player got to go to Kanto anyway. You're agreeing. :p

For Alola forms, I was trying to pick something that particularly set them apart from their regular form, because otherwise they might as well have the same HA (as I did for Exeggutor and Raichu). The strong jaws that Rattata and Raticate clearly have are present across both forms, so I see no...

I actually just posted about all my HA predictions for new Pokemon and Alola forms in the Abilities thread just now. WRT starters, I am predicting Sniper for Decidueye, Sheer Force for Incineroar, and Dancer for Primarina. I do not think Dazzling is likely for Primarina, as it appears to be...

I'd say it's possible there was some inspiration, particularly in regards to the spikiness. The Mata Mata has ridges, but not really spikes like Turtonator does. But it could just be designed to look like a mine in the middle of exploding. It would indeed. It could even have a Bug-type absorb...

New Moves & Abilities Discussion Thread

So, I have updated my HA predictions for new Pokemon and Alola forms. This time I have included a couple of my own creations that I think would be too good to pass up. Possible old Pokemon that would fit the new abilities (disregarding whether they have space for another or not): High...
