Yeah, not everything needs to have some over-arching narrative to be considered good and fun. MPM is fun IMO and the set up is actually what I wanted for PM.
It feels like this was one of those ideas they may have kicked around when brainstorming for the next series and decided to go in a...
Gen 5 still sold over 15 million copies. It may not be the most popular generation, but it was by no means a failure. The reason they focus heavily on Gen 1 is because of branding/marketing. The roster has gotten way too bloated and they don't expect new fans to know every single Pokemon. But...
Yeah. It is the fourth episode. I think nuzamaki90 is probably right (Originally, I thought it would be a Brock centric episode). But Gary returning in episode 4 and basically kicking off the main storyline after the reintroductions of Brock and Misty makes sense.
Even earlier then that. By the start of Johto, she pretty much mellowed out. Her and Ash don't really argue that much since they have grown up a little bit from traveling together for so long.
It isn’t the same at all IMO. Fans have been wanting to see an Ash and Butterfree reunion for years. If they were doing a Butterfree episode then they definitely wouldn’t have included that scene. You will never get the same reaction as the initial one.
They probably didn’t go into this series thinking it would be Ash’s last series. I think if they knew this was it for Ash, the companions and even old Pokémon would have been handled differently.
Ash was a fully-fledged character by the end of the OS. Your AG example was essentially the Drake episode in which Ash was cocky all of sudden and that goes away once he loses to Drake. But other than that, he is largely the same as he was in Johto. Your DP example didn’t even happen. Ash just...
Yeah, I don’t think cutting down the amount of episodes means eliminating filler. For starters, Pokemon isn’t a plot driven series anyway. It is episodic. So filler doesn’t really exist in this type of show. However, less episodes could mean ideas don’t get spread thin. So we could potentially...
