Currently at 720 eggs hatched for Larvitar. I'm trying to hit 1,000 eggs before I leave.
Also Headbutting/hunting for whatever is my swarm in HG on the side. I might start a badge quest on SS, but probably not since I'm leaving in a few days.
Good luck everyone.
1) Which method of shiny hunting do you prefer?
Gotta say I like random encountering the best. It's too bad that many of the best shinies are only reasonably obtainable through breeding, though! I'm currently going a manic-breeding phase thanks to the utility of Pass Powers in Black and White...
Set from the beginning? Goodness that is stupid...a real bummer, too. :( That's actually very disappointing. At least I can definitely get Elekid and Magby to show up.
Thanks a bunch for answering my question, by the way. This is something that has stumped me for quite a while now!
I'm having some trouble with White Forest. See, I can NEVER get the people I want to come over from Black City. I have had the games since they were released, and NOT ONCE have I had the opportunity to get Shane (the guy who brings over Rhyhorn) to come over. He's never even asked. He's just...
Cool thread. I might actually start posting on Serebii again after seeing this.
Currently hatching for a shiny Larvitar on both Pokemon White and Pokemon Black. 360 eggs at the moment...I'm not using the Masuda Method. Yeah, I'm suicidal, I know.
Ack yeah, I think it has been over seven months since I last shiny hunted, which is just ridiculous, haha. Quite the hiatus for me, and it would be continuing if I had anything better to do now. So I'll be returning for a little while. :)
So where has the shiny hunting community moved to now...
Yeah, that's definitely me. I haven't been on the Dream World in so long! I'll be sure to accept your request shortly. Hopefully we can help each other get some DW Pokemon :)
Please don't try to pin the blame for this on me. I didn't "give" them the club, my position was simply stripped from me...not that I mind. Anyways, I stopped caring about the shiny club long ago.
If anything, I think it's a step in the right direction. Although the club is responsible for many...
To keep a long story short, the basic objective is to get a Pokemon to survive even when it's using Struggle by Tricking Leftovers onto the Pokemon, putting it to sleep, and using Pain Split as a last resort. Struggle takes away 1/4 of the Pokemon's HP every time it hits; Lefties heals back 1/16...
Thanks for the congrats! I'm just glad that it finally decided to shine! I guess my policy of never giving up on a shiny really pays off, considering I started the hunt at least two years ago, haha.
Are you hunting for anything?
For your Combee hunt, might I suggest taking advantage of a male Cute Charmer so that you increase you chances of finding a female shiny Combee? However, since you're a veteran shiny hunt, I wouldn't be surprised if you already made that preparation.
I noticed in your post in the 5th Gen shiny thread, you talked about how you dislike REing the most of all.
I just wanted to say that it's funny how we can all love the same thing, yet still have our varyin tastes about aspects of that hobby.
Allow me to explain. I think it's clear that we...
Soooo....my luck on the 3rd Gen continues!
After 23,886 encounters, I got a shiny Paras on my LeafGreen version two days ago. It's female, and it has a Brave nature. I already transferred it over to my 5th Generation games.
Next target on FR/LG will be Seel.
Thanks. And it actually isn't that tough; all I did was take out my game so that image froze. This allows you take a clear picture of the stars. Otherwise they move to fast, lol.
Thanks for the suggestions, it actually sounds pretty fun. Is it alright if I fish for Carvanha, instead, though? I really like both of them and on the off chance that I actually get one of them shiny, I'd like to have the shiny forms of both Carvanha and Sharpedo in my BW Pokedex.
I'll only do...
