One thing I always found weird was how Eelektross and Slowking can learn Flamethrower, and Hydreigon can learn Surf. Those definitely caught me off-guard when I was battling Ghetsis in Black, and whenever I battled Cress in B2. Rhydon can also learn Surf too, despite it usually being weak to Water.
If I were a Pokémon, I definitely wouldn't want to be owned by a Trainer like pre-Journeys Paul or Damien from the OS episode "Charmander - The Stray Pokémon". If I remember correctly, before he belonged to Ash, Tepig also had a Pokémon abuser as a Trainer too.
Based on its name (and according to Bulbapedia), it might actually be based more on Valencia and Levante, which are two other cities in Spain. In the Spanish version, Levincia is called Ciudad Condal, which means "City of Counts" (a nickname for Barcelona).
I see you've joined the Larry Fan...
Probably because it had just been formed when the SM games take place?
Gengar is kind of like the Ghost version of Pikachu. They even have similar body shapes, kind of. Is the Gengar family in SV?
If you look very closely at Larry's tie, it's sky-blue with some clouds on it, which probably foreshadows his E4 type specialization. I think he changed it because the other E4 members probably said, "Ew, Normal. Who's ever heard of a NORMAL-type Elite 4 member?" :p
I like to think Larry and Iono have some kind of dynamic together, even though they have completely contrasting personalities. I often imagine Larry being a guest on Iono's livestream, with Larry looking totally serious while Iono is being her usual loud and cheerful self. :p
Probably because...
What would happen if two people were both down to their last Pokémon, and they both used a move that causes fainting, e.g. Self-Destruct, Explosion or (in three turns) Perish Song? Would the winner or loser depend on whose Pokémon faints first?
