I think the clans will come together on Mt. Coronet and one side will go on to build the East and the other the West. That way one clan will jave built the statue in Eterna City(The oldest city in the what would be the new Sinnoh Region) and the other will have built the ruins in Celestic...
Almighty Sinnoh may a reference to Dialga and Palkia and not Arceus. This actually would tie into the Eterna City statue that looks like a fusion of Dialga and Palkia. They are two deities but people don't know they are separate and believe they are one in the same.
Between the Isle of Armor, Crown Tundra, BDSP, and Legends I have no clue how Kusaka is going to tie everything up. And that's not even addressing any Rainbow Rocket shenanigans and the ever dying hope of a Let's Go arc.
I like the nod to Lysandre. Always good to see the wider world referenced. I also like that that Swordward and Shirldbert seem more menacing yet kinda goofy. Makes me wonder where they'll go come time for the Galarian Star Tournament
What do you think about the idea that the ladylike Pokémon that Arezu watches over is a variation of Purugly? The Purugly line is a majority female evolutionary line and Arezu is most likely the ancestor of Mars. The evidence being that Arezu is derived from Ares whose Roman counterpart is Mars...
Here's a list of important named characters in Sword/Shield. How big of an influence do you think each character will have on the overall plot and what Pokemon do you think they may use? I'll list my takes below:
Sōdo Tsurugi: Ransun (Sirfetch'd), Sutikkun (Rillaboom, Possesses Gigantamax...
I wonder how Kusaka is going to tie Mustard, Honey, Klara, and Avery to the hierarchy of elite trainers in the region. If you read both Mustard's and Honey's league cards then there is definitely interesting set up for a mini flashback to flesh out the region's world-building.
Without spoiling anything I will definitely say that Kusaka has a lot he can work with when it comes to detailing the Isle of Armor alone. I'm very excited how he will incorporate the new characters and Pokemon into the plot because they definitely can work within the game's main plot
I share your sentiment Butterfree was not a mon I expected to get much usage but Gamefreak surprised us and made the our first-ever bug mon a viable competitive threat. GMAX Lapras imo is the best Ice type in the meta due to the utility of GMAX Resonance.
It doesn't explain all the dex cuts but the Pokemon that remained in have definitely shaken up the VGC meta which was rebalanced. They did not lie about competitive balance.
VGC balance is their priority not 6 v 6 singles. Clefable and Toxapex aren't good in VGC neither is teleport. Dynamax is balanced in VGC which is their priority
