I think this is an absurd notion. Ash progressed in AG far more than in almost any other era just on accomplishments alone. The entire reason they downplayed the Hoenn League, which admittedly was clearly rushed, was so that he could end up on the level of the Frontier Brains. This bizarre...
The plants may not be the strongest but I do think MPM11 successfully communicated just how important Carnivine and Gourgeist are to Jessie and James. Obviously all their Pokémon have strong bonds with them (maybe not Amoonguss and Frillish) but these bonds felt developed enough that they earned...
I just don’t think that’s very likely. Meowscarada seems decently popular and also has a body suited for fighting like all the other extremely humanoid starters that came before it. Liko’s Sprigatito would probably need to evolve to have much of a moveset since it’s quadrupedal.
I think Fuecoco evolving makes nothing but sense if Roy’s goal is battling centric, while we don’t know anything about Gurumin or Quaxly to even make an assumption there.
I feel like if Gurumin does have Quaxly, she’s going to be the “Brock” of the main group. I have no doubt she’s gonna be unmasked in the first year or so, it just might be a slow burn to get to that point.
I promise you, this is a show for children and you’ll get over it. Yuyama didn’t harm you personally and this entire dramatic monologue tells me you clearly haven’t gotten over it yet, so good luck with all of that you’re dealing with I guess
I feel like it’s pretty likely that Sprigatito and Fuecoco evolve, though I’m not sure if Fuecoco will go all the way or just to Crocalor. Quaxly seems like the clear unevolved mascot ala Grookey, Rowlet, Chespin, Oshawott, Piplup
How does any of this affect you at all? The move and battle record stuff is interesting data that isn’t covered much elsewhere. It isn’t going to hurt you to scroll a little past threads you think “don’t serve a purpose” when you can just suck it up and scroll past threads you don’t like.
I honestly agree with Yuyama’s philosophy anyway. I think that Ash going from winning the Alola League against Gladion and Kukui to beating Steven, Cynthia, and Leon was some absurd powerscaling that just doesn’t make sense for the series. Ultimately, what’s done is done, but I’m far more happy...
This is a lot of emotion. I really don’t think it’s that serious. It’s pretty unlikely Liko’s even staying in school, this just made it more reasonable for her to meet Friede and Roy who are Kanto natives it seems. Paldea is also just not that exciting a region so I don’t see the issue. Any new...
I mean I imagine websites will use HZ, that’s the most common abbreviation.
This seems like a stretch. I doubt that it’s an AU and I doubt there’ll be zero game characters at all. I just think they’ve decided the anime needed to be less tied to the games and to give it its own identity, which...
FWIW if Liko and Roy are like massive smash successes, they’ll figure the starter issue out I imagine, but they’d have to be magically popular for that to happen. Rotating protagonists in and out definitely seems like the move.
I doubt it’ll be the only movie song we get though tbh. I wouldn’t be surprised if Shoko Nakagawa ends up doing the Evolution version of Kaze to Issho ni, especially since we already have a lot of DP/SM songs it seems, which is what all the rest of her songs are
This is really not a phenomenon solely in the show either. The Pokémon Squishmallows are Pikachu, Gengar, Snorlax, and Togepi. Cities in Japan have Sandshrew and Geodude as mascots. Eevee is in the Macy’s Parade as a balloon, Psyduck is the current mascot of the Netflix Pokémon Concierge. The...
It’s the first region. This is like being surprised that Yokai Watch keeps digging in the well of its first game/anime era even in 2023. You never forget your first.
This at the least is pretty understandable. It’s pretty hard to address the Academies without “canonizing” one in this universe, which is something I can’t imagine they want to do. Creating a new Indigo Academy in Kanto is a decent nod without really touching that issue, though they could have...
