You completely missed the point. Look at every line of reasoning you gave as to why there shouldn't be a 4th evolution. Each of those is completely obliterated by the introduction of megas. 1) Megas broke the standards 2) Megas are WAY more overpowered than what I suggested. 3) Megas are...

Lol so butthurt wow. I barely even use Serebii anymore, I just found it amusing how gamefreak did something even more outrageous than the actually quite reasonable thing I suggested. But calm down, it's just the internet.....

Lol I know it was before megas were created, that was the point! I suggested something quite reasonable, but different from the norm and everyone went mad because it's never been done before. People even said "too much like digimon", "unnatural" etc. and THEN gamefreak do something even more...

The point is, you deemed 4th evolutions impossible due to being "unnatural" seeing how it's been since gen 1. Mega evolutions and even the fairy type prove this wrong, heck even steel losing two resistances shows that they can easily change anything they like, regardless of how long its been :P
