As usual, I always pick the fire starters, so it's Cynadaquil, Torchic and Charmander for me.

I reckon Hoenn was better than Kanto. Personally, I found the plot in Hoenn to be far more deep and interactive than Kanto's plot. The environments in Hoenn also appeal to me due to their variations, such as Mt. Chimney, the desert area in Route 111 and the numerous sea routes with many dive spots.

It's a toss between Salamence and Metagross for me, due to their dragon and machine likenesses, respectively. Ultimately, Salamence would be my pick for the best psuedo-legendary.

It's been a while since I truly played HeartGold but last time I played, I - Raised my EV'd Giratina (Alternate) to Lv. 100. I was suprised it had an HP IV of 30. - Went through the Elite Four + Champion battles using only Gallade and Magnezone. Gallade went from Lv. 64 to Lv. 70 while...

I would have Gallade as the starter and Magnezone as the partner.
