To change things up I'm using the female protagonist for the first time with an all female team. Primarina Alolan Raichu Miltank Honkrow Tsareena Goodra

Pokémon Sun & Moon Discovery Discussion Thread [Contains Story Spoilers]

This is definitely an odd generation as a whole stats-wise. Everything is either super slow or fast but extremely frail... Very little in-between.

Yeah he was an instant favorite of mine as well. Even with the ability I still think he'll be a beast in-game.

Yeah I'm pretty bummed he's stuck with such a lame ability, because otherwise I really love its design. With Leech Life and massive defense though he shouldn't have too many problems staying in. Oh well I'm still using him.

Wimpod's evo gets Wimp Out? Where was this confirmed?

Hell yes BEASTpod remains Bug/Water upon evolving which means my FWG core is legit! Glad to know my final team is set. Can't wait to get my hands on them soon.

We don't truly know what any of these Pokemon are capable of until we at least have knowledge of their hidden abilities. Abilities alone can make or break a Pokemon. Contrary single-handedly took Serperior from hot garbage to an OU-worthy threat while Greninja's Protean ability made an otherwise...

Pokémon Sun and Moon - General Discussion Thread

I have had 3 main in game traditions when it comes to teambuilding all the way since Gen 1, for my first playthrough at least. 1) Only use Pokemon exclusive to the region. 2) Always use a Fire Water Grass core with one of the 3 being a starter. 3) No 2 Pokemon on the team can share the same...

Fun fact: There has never been a generation where a Water starter has been my favorite. It's always either the Fire or Grass. Faves Gen 1: Charmander cause Zard is the greatest Pokemon of all time. Gen 2: Typhlosion - Cool design (I really love its cry in particular), cool name, and...

No but a lot of people rely on early game breeding to get Pokemon of their preferred Nature instead of catching them over and over in the wild, and also to duplicate higher leveled Pokemon that are revived through trades or the Pokemon Bank. I'd be against a late-game breeding location.

This picture of him is what won me over. So cute... Yet so violent. xD

Decidiueye will undoubtedly be competitively viable. Fast speed + an attacking move that traps opponents is a dangerous combination. As far as the other 2 I can see Primarina being good if it has good bulk. Water/Fairy is fantastic typing and Scald will always remain one of the most dangerous...

I noticed very few people will be using Bewear on their respective teams... Am I the only one who loves its design? :x A cute, giant teddy bear looking thing that will **** your **** up is both a hilarious and awesome concept to me. Maybe I'm just weird?

Sun & Moon In-Game Team Thread

Team composition has stayed the same after reveal of Decidueye being part Ghost. It just makes Bewear an even better partner for it since it will hard counter any Ghost or Dark moves thrown at it, while Decidueye will hard counter any Fighting moves aimed towards Bewear.

And you're also neglecting the fact that it no longer has a weakness to Stealth Rocks, which is the most important upgrade it gets. It being Flying or Ghost doesn't change anything against Talonflame so I'm not sure what you're getting with that.

Quick defensive breakdown to show how Grass/Ghost is better defensive typing than Grass/Flying. Grass/Flying resistances: Ground (immune), Grass (x1/4), Fighting (x1/2), Water (x1/2) Grass/Flying weaknesses: Ice (x4), Rock (x2), Flying (x2), Poison (x2), Fire (x2) TOTAL RESISTANCES: 1 immunity...

My jaw dropped when I saw Grass/Ghost in the trailer. Rowlet might be my favorite Grass starter of all time.

Villainous or not it's still a wrestler... Do the six pack abs ala Machamp not scream Fighting to you?
  19. T

    Starter Discussion & Thread

And pretty much every Pokemon related to wrestling in some way has been Fighting. Machamp is a wrestler, as is Hariyama, Throh, Emboar, and Hawlucha... All fighting types.

Because 4 of those 7 are either fighting types or look like they should be a fighting type, which is the case with Luchalitten (both Hawlucha and Hariyama are based on wrestlers, and are fighting types).
