That rumour is False. I'm breeding two Immunity Gligar right now and a little more than half have Sand Veil or Hyper Cutter. :) Then again, that might be true for regular abilities. but it seems unlikely.

That sounds like a really fun and interesting quest. Since the odds are lower in Gen 6 it's also a possible one, perhaps that's why no one's dared to try it before. I'd say go for it! ^^

I get the feeling that we might not get the shiny charm from completing the National Dex. Since the odds are so high already I mean. But then again we might do, we can't be sure untill Poké Bank is out and we can send over, right? They might've changed the % rate that the shiny charm increases...

You can register it, then you just have to press the Y button and choose the Rod (unless you don't have anything else, then it'll automaticaly throw out the rod) :)
