If they ever want to cameo Ash/Pikachu I could see Friede mentioning he and Cap were inspired by their monarch win so they trained up to become the badass duo we see them as
Friedes a battle junkie like Ash so I could see this being a thing (if desired)
Was it ever confirmed if Horizons is the same or a parallel universe from Ashs? Or is it one of those things that well just have to wait and see later down the line?
Will be throwing my thoughts into the ring about the 2 first episodes of the new Ash-less era anime, but of course I’m “shocked” over the obviously expected Ash/Liko comparisons already being made and of course the usual group of Anti-Ashers coming out and being emboldened to give cryptic...
Of course I’m not saying criticism isn’t warranted. I’m not saying you can’t criticize this, otherwise I’d be anti anyone who has any kind of bone to pick with Ash, JN or the whole anime. I have my own list of issues myself.
The problem that’s now getting to me is that there’s consistently a...
Or you could’ve, you know…just not watched? Hate watching really seems to live rent free in some people.
Having negative opinions isn’t the issue. Openly complaining about the same **** over and over when most of us, issues with the anime or not, are actively trying to enjoy the ending of this...
I know what you mean. I’m 23 now and got into Pokémon during the youngest of years. It’s crazy that icons who were my role models then and now as an adult, outlived me my entire time on this earth and shaped several generations of peoples lives. Legendary.
Ash and Pikachu are definitely my...
Ironically, May and Max meeting Serena off screen and Alexa meeting Brock when tagging along with Cilan are the only forms of continuity with past gens XY ever got, and not even during XY
Oh no I 100% agree this wasn’t the first time the anime did this, and probably won’t be the last depending...
Now that I saw the final episode, I can gather my send off thoughts.
First the episode itself. For a series finale type episode to end an era, I found it…pretty anticlimactic in a way? And of course emotional since it’s Ashs final episode (for now at least). Somewhat bad but overall good to me...
I’ll wait to post my own Ash and Pikachu goodbye after I watch the final episode with subs. Right now I still have such mixed feelings over the end finally coming.
The Journey Ends Today
At last the moments here and….I don’t know how to feel just yet. Once I watch the episode subbed I’ll collect my thoughts about this.
The nod to Heroes being canon (which was probably already a given just not as damning of a reference as this clear one) was the biggest highlight of the episode to me, along with Swellow coming back in.
Little disappointed that Ash didn’t catch either Latias or Latios but at this point in the...
As others have said, this episode is a mixed bag for me and is just ok
Love that the TR reserves came back and that their Pikachu capture plan actually felt real planned and set up this time, but the takeout and abrupt Latias interruption ruined the end of the episode for me. TR deserves better...
Sums up my thoughts for this episode as well! Very comedic and hilarious episode that Journeys hasn’t gotten too many laughs out of me for a while lol
All the reserves felt like they did something, Torterra now has Ash own a starter that knows one of the ultimate starter mon moves, the Wailmer...
Late to this but this pretty much summed up my thoughts when I saw this episode.
-Great to see Squirtle again after so many years
-Misty and Crogunk are the ultimate duo for sure lol
-Charizard and Bulbasaur were very pouty and salty in this episode, probably the most petty we’ve seen them...
With Ashs story & the OG era of Pokémon ending soon, until Ashs final episode, I would like for us to spend time saying goodbye and farewells to all of his companions that helped make our childhoods and experiences with the anime great.
If there’s any characters you love or have respect for and...
Really late for giving this as I’ve been super busy for a while, but I give this episode a 7.5-10. Not the best and doesn’t do much for the character development side of things, but is still an enjoyable episode
Gives lots of Beartic love outside of being a “scary bear Pokémon”, shows Ashs...
Little late to comment on this as I was sick :(
But overall an OK and fun episode.
Pretty much seeing Cilan again in an actual reappearance and him getting to meet Misty was the highlight of the episode for me, as well as seeing Ash and Brock again
No reserves used and only Pansage returning...
