I mean, even if it is an alternate universe, we know travel between them is already possible with the Mirror World and Alternate World. They can just have Ash fall through a portal or something and send him back once his role is done.
Are we sure New Horizons is in the same universe as Ash's? It could be that it's a universe where Legendaries are super-rare and uncatchable like the original series used to be.
You're right. I'm getting ahead of myself. They'll probably get back together next episode considering it's a direct continuation of this one. Still, it wasn't a good feeling watching them walk away like that.
Personally, I think it's more likely he dropped Fire Fang, though my only reason is because Flame Charge is a "speed" attack and Ash works best with fast Pokemon.
With the fake-outs they're doing with Ash and Pikachu, I get the feeling that the last episode will have Pikachu thinks Ash is doing a fake-out but Ash ends up going with his original choice. Maybe in the last battle (possibly with Latias), Pikachu thinks Ash won't pick him, but Ash actually does.
I liked most them though. Except for Tri and Sevens, which funnily enough are the latest ones I think.
edit: Okay apparently there's a new Digimon series. So I haven't watched that one yet. Or know anything about its existence until now...
Haha. That's true. But I meant both of their storylines. Although I can see the potential to stretch them out, they feel better suited for a singular (Paldea) series than presumably long-spanning like Ash's.
Well, I'm willing to accept that I was wrong. Way to go Ash!! I'm proud of you!
Although I'm nervous this means the show is ending or Ash is going away at the end of JN now.
While I genuinely love Charizard, Infernape and Incineroar. I'm pretty sure having three fire types on a single team would be bad for Ash given that Leon could probably take them out/deal heavy damage with Inteleon alone.
