So based on the Opening I assume we are going to move into an "arc" where Ash, Go, and Koharu travel with Leon throughout the Wild Area in a Carizard, Lizarcar, Carizadon?
So Cinderace and Lucario's attitudes are essentially switched (Raboot being the edgy loner and Riolu being the hyper energetic one). Hope Lucario grows out of his loner phase as the series progresses. Overall the episode was fine I guess, 7/10
True, but seeing how it's being built up, there's no way it WON'T be OP when it becomes one. Something needs to differentiate it from other Lucario we've seen in the anime, either it having absurd power in it's base form or a potential G-Max to tie in with the upcoming DLC.
The way things are now, Ash's Riolu when it becomes a Lucario. If it can already hold it's own against Bea's Grapploct better than Korrina's MEGA Lucario, it's no contest.
The summary for this episode was pure clickbait. Aside from that, pretty good episode, love Goh's female Pikachu/Raichu's personality. The interaction between it and Ash's Pikachu was cute and adorable.
New Opening was HYPE!
- Go confirmed to get Flygon
- Legendary/Mythicals appearing (and Go apparently catching Zapdos)
- Showing old companions (mainly Alola Gang minus Lillie)
- Hyping up Ash's future exploits and team in the PWC
- Bea being shown
- Confirming the evolution of Lucario and...
I have an idea of what they can do with Ash in the future, but it depends on whether Gen 9 is going to do something similar. This is slightly fanfiction-ny but bare with me. Why not make Ash travel to a mysterious uncharted region/island, isolated from the rest of the world with never before...
People keep forgetting, Being the Strongest Trainer =/= Pokemon Master as stated by Ash.
Ash's journey will NOT end once he beats Leon, but it's hard to imagine what the next step Ash will take IF he beats him.
So many salty people in this thread lol. Welp Go "accidentally" caught the worst Galar Starter. Now let's see what becomes of Grookey, which I don't really care who it goes to too much, but I'm teetering more towards Ash due to how well it fits him.
I rate this episode a 5/10, not too bad and...
It's mentioned in the games that he rivals Champions, not that he is in the upper echelon of them, kinda like how it's mentioned Volkner and Claire are strong enough to rival the Elite 4 of their respective regions. But at least he is not 8th place, which begs the question, who would be in 8th...
Speaking of Dynamax, if Diantha and/or Steven are a part of the Masters 8, will they use Mega Evolution or Dynamaxing? Would be pretty cool to see a showdown between a Mega Evolved Pokemon vs Dynamaxed/Gigantamaxed Pokemon.
