Was the Birth of Mewtwo really removed by 4kids?

http://dogasu.bulbagarden.net/movies/myuutwo/myuutwo_strikes_back_kanzenban.html That's a pretty good explanation of the different versions of the First Movie. The 4Kids dub of the first movie was based on this special edition, and the whole thing was dubbed. The "Birth of Mewtwo" stuff was...

    Pokemon in Australia

Even though it would've made far more sense to do this at the initial release of the movies, or even when the Blu-ray came out a few months later - Beyond have chosen now of all times (well, not so much now as in May) to release both versions of the Victini movie on one DVD. May as well exhaust...

    Pokemon in Australia

Hmm, seems strange that it'd be repeats again now that Rival Destinies has been dubbed and only a couple of days away from having fully aired in the UK. Not to mention the fact that the first half of the season is out on DVD in just over 5 weeks. Anyway, EzyDVD's got the Kyurem movie up...

US music in the JPN version.

I think the only instance of dub music actually being used in the Japanese version of the anime is when that awful theme from "The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon" was used as the opening theme in the Japanese version as well.

    Pokemon in Australia

Well, my $28 Sinnoh set arrived today. I've checked my Paypal account, and the right amount's been charged, so I've gotten a massive bargain out of this. I was going to sell it - but I noticed on the back of the box it listed the aspect ratio as being 4:3 and 16:9. Now, I also bought the Black &...

    Pokemon in Australia

JB Hi-Fi seems to have made a rather large error with their price for the Sinnoh Collection. It's currently listed as $27.99. http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/dvd/dvd-genres/kids-family/pokemon-sinnoh-region-collection/676875 ETA: Well I put an order through for it. I already have seasons 10-13...

    Pokemon in Australia

Oh wow, looks like JB Hi-Fi's the cheapest now... no wait, ozgameshop.com dropped their price to $42. Looks like I'll be sticking with them.

    Pokemon in Australia

The Victini Blu-ray has a trailer for Rival Destinies. I guess the clips being in HD is mildly interesting. Doesn't give a start date or anything, though.

    Pokemon in Australia

Well considering the Kanto (and OI) box came out in September 2011, and the Johto box followed in November/December (either November 30 or December 1 depending on the store) - the Sinnoh box coming out around the same time as the Johto one did wouldn't be too surprising. Although it's difficult...

    Pokemon in Australia

It's probably not going to be on many people's shopping lists - but the Hoenn box has been confirmed for October 10th. http://www.beyondhomeentertainment.com.au/index.php?option=com_jmovies&Itemid=9&task=detail&id=3446

    Pokemon in Australia

It's still likely to be a step up from the DVD, though. Movies 12 and 13 definitely were. I just didn't want to buy what was essentially the same movie twice for the sake of completion, which was the case with the DVDs.

    Pokemon in Australia

Well it looks like holding off on getting the DVD has paid off. It's about damn time, too. http://www.ezydvd.com.au/blu-ray/pokemon-the-movie-14-black-and-white-dual-pack/dp/6117145

Still no season 3 or 4 box sets

Wait. When JB Hi-Fi has a sale (and they'll probably have big one towards the end of June), they can get as low as $25 for the set. Keep an eye on the prices on that page, a drop will happen eventually.

Still no season 3 or 4 box sets

Well I was the one that took the photo and uploaded it, I didn't have to look very hard.

Still no season 3 or 4 box sets

http://bmgf.bulbagarden.net/members/22910/albums/4059/52368/ They're a fold-out cardboard package with two discs on each face. The three faces on the other side are one human character, one Pokemon, and an episode/disc listing.
  16. T

Still no season 3 or 4 box sets

They do. There's a 6-disc set for each season (the production seasons, in the order they're listed on Pokemon.com... not by the openings), and an 18 disc set with every Johto episode on it (this one goes by the openings). It'd be cheaper to buy those season sets and a Region 4 DVD player than...

    Pokemon in Australia

Yeah, the complete season 13 box set came out about 2 months after collection 2 did, so it's fairly likely there'll be a full box around August/September. Seems really strange now that they never released Galactic Battles Collection 2.

    What flaws did AG have?

Well there was the whole "Ash didn't have a rival until right before the Hoenn League" thing for one.

    Pokemon in Australia

Well Rival Destinies was never going to air 6 days a week because they'd run outside of episodes within 2 weeks, and TPCi wouldn't export big syndicated block so soon. But are you certain that Battle Dimension is every day? There isn't a chance that Sunday is still Rival Destinies?
  20. T

    Pokemon in Australia

Yeah, Rival Destinies won't be airing 5 or 6 days a week, seeing as there'd have to be 24 fully dubbed episodes to do a half-season order. RD will probably be one day a week (does Pokemon still air on Saturday?) and season 14 repeats will make up the rest of the week. The ad was probably...
