The only time when the sprites are different for male and female is in Diamond and Pearl, and only a few have been posted, but not in the PokeDex section. Even then, the differences aren't too noticeble, at least not on the first glance.
The reason there are two different colored ones is becuase the normal colored one is the more common version found. The second one is the shiny version, which are really rare.
