Back when i was in grade 8-9, i made my own little "book" called :2 on 2 battle teams. Basically, i chose several characters that i thought would be great together in a 2 on 2 battle. Some of them had to do with their abilities, others were with their own similarities, and then there were some that seemed could do something good in a 2 on 2 battle.

What i want from you, is to post your own ideas of a 2 on 2 battle team. It could something very simple, or something a little more complicated. It can be whatever you like as long as its a team of 2 pokemon(hence 2 on 2 battles). Im letting you choose what guys you would like to put in your teams, therefore letting me see how you can come up with your own plans for a small team.

I'll post mine first:

Milotic

Attacks:
- Water Pulse
- Recover
- Hydro Pump
- Twister

+

Armlado

Attacks:
- Fury Cutter
- Dig
- Ancient Power
- Slash/Water Pulse

There you go(it doesnt have to follow the same way i did it, 'cause it looks real bland the way i did it.). Ill await to see more

Molitic
~Hypnosis
~Ice beam
~Surf
~Recover

Snorlax
~Earthquack
~Shadow Ball
~Rest
~Curse

Works nicely and stops alot

use hypnosis to stop the sweeper, whilst lax curses, Then use milotic to attack away and continue to curse for a while or until laxs hp is under about 30%,

When Lax wakes up its attack will be enough to sweep anything not named skarmory or lavvy pokemon(weezing ect.) and thats were milotic is nice work withs its high special defense and its rather good special attack

My 2 on 2 team would be:

Victreebell @ persim berry
sludge bomb
Swords dance
filler
filler

Claydol @ leftovers
Psych up
swagger
shadow ball
rock slide

1st turn victreebell uses SD and claydol uses swagger to raise attack of victreebell with persim curing confusion. 2nd turn victreebell SDs again while slower Claydol psychs up copying attak boost. 3rd turn both pokemon sweep.
risky and difficult to set up but extremely effective if used well.

Freeze Knight

super cuno
Good combos are Eartquake and Flying Type/Levitate
and Follow me and Focus Punch.
I could think of more but I´m to lazy.

there the obvious good ones

like ghost and any exploder

also ak47, i would suggest you use Light screen on claydol to stop vic getting ohko by special sweepers and it will also help claydol resist surfs from swamperts and milotics

I found this one quite usefull in XD:

Tyrannitar

Attacks:
- EQ
- Rock Slide
- Crunch
- Hyper Beam

Salamence

Attacks:
- Fire Blast
- Dragon Claw
- Dragon Dance
- Aerial Ace

Usefull, as Tyrannitar can take out both ice and rock types that can badly hurt Salamence, while salamence can easily take out anything that can hurt Tyrannitar.

there is no point in using any special attack on salamence other than fire blast which is ONLY for skarmory

so id suggest for salamence
~earthquake
~rock slide
~aeriel ace
~dragon dance

and use boahtar with salamence to take out lax
~focus punch
~sub
~earthquake
~crunch

only problem with that is alot of people will use milotic and swampert

but what i suggested will work better in XD and in-game

Praetor

Psephophthalmus artu
latios@scope lens@levitate
recover
dragon claw
psychic
thunderbolt

Metagross@shell bell@clear body
Psychic
earthquake
meteor mash
toxic

this actually my pokemon currently for the frontier

*thinks*

Latias and Typhlosion

Psychic/Surf/Ice Beam/Dragon Claw OR Helping Hand

Earthquake/Thunderpunch/Flamethrower/HP Grass

SE against everything but Normal, Dark, and Ghost, and covers Shedinja.

alot of you fail to see that they may have super effective moves against them

but that doesnt mean typhlosion is going to stop a milotic just because of thunderpunch

but the typhlosion is alright im not so sure about latias

Hemp Man

Soul Trainer
Moltres @ Lum Berry
Sunny Day
Fire Blast
Morning Son
Will-O-Wisp / Hidden Power [Grass]

Umbreon @ Leftovers
Charm
Moonlight

ninetales is one of the best annoyers, not a sweeper

it should be
~atrract
~confuse ray
~flamethrower
~hp grass

And venusaur should be
~leech seed
~sleep powder
~razor leaf

sleep the counter on the switch then roar it away

Metagross @lum berry
nature:adamant
psych up
explosion
meoter mash
protect

Hariyama @salac berry
nature:hasty
belly drum
foresight
endure
reversal

Hariyama uses belly drum first, and metagross uses protect. Then metagross uses psych up on hariyama so its attack is also maxed.hariyama then uses foresight if there is ghost pokemon.(metagross can use meteor mash to kill ghost types too)Then hariyama uses endure while metagross explodes. Then hariyama can sweep anything remaining with reversal.THis is really strong when used right.

That Really wont work

Hariyamas defense and special defense suck and so does its speed.

Any sweeper will do enough damage to prevent belly drum, then making metagross usless with that move set

i suggest you use belly drum snorlax in place of hariyama as it will work better, and lax has good enough defenses to stop sweepers.

so use the same metagross set(even though i personally dont think it would work)

use this lax
~shadow ball
~belly drum
~rest
~earthquake

Char1016

Pokemon Communist
Tyranitar:
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Rock Slide
- Bulk Up

Latios:
- Psychic
- Recover
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

This works for me.
1st Latios attacks the one that survives from Earthquake, and then Tyranitar uses Earthquake, when you think that EQ will not beat your opponents, use Bulk Up and kick everyone out except Latios because he has ability Levitate.

Volteon

Back I guess??
kingdra
waterfall/H.pump
ice beam
dragon breath
raindance

Latias
substitute
helping hand
psychic
dragon claw

any good (special os psychical) sweper is good with the sub. help hand latias.

(sub. first when using weather attack to boost damage and in this case speed)
