After the story mode is over, is it possible to transfer my pokemon from the GBA game to the GC game?

See, what I'm thinking is that I could bring pokemon to the GC game, and battle that team against a team in my GBA game without having to buy another game, GBA, and cord.

Yes, it's the same with a regular game boy game. You can fight your own pokemon against each other as long as they're on a separate pack.

Um...I don't think you get what I'm asking.

After I purified some of my pokemon, I was able to use the purified pokemon that I had in the game, and have them fight my GBA pokemon, by using the controller to control the pokemon in the GC game. I was wondering if I could import some pokemon from my game into the story mode after I finished story mode.

That way, I could battle the team I imported against another team in the same game, without getting the extra stuff.

I was just wondering if that was possible.

As long as you just want to have one team, traded onto the GameCube, battle another team, still on the GBA game pak, then yes, you can do that. The only time you would need multiple GBAs is when you are doing doubles matches. But, you can always do one-on-one battles between any non-shadow Pokemon currently in the Colosseum saved game and a GBA team.

Like what Whompithian said, you can have your colloseum team battle your team on your gba but you can't battle if you have a shadow in your team
