2 questions about iv

i have 2 game righ and i want to iv train my alakazan for speed and i have pokemon emerald my cave of origin is closed. can i train my alakazan in my old ruby? my other question if i battle secret bases do my alakazan speed still go up? my english is not good but i now some one will understand me ;249-d;

There is also the cave of origin in emerald which only has zubats by default which is above slateport and off to the left of the bike path. I believe that opens after defeating the elite 4 and wallace. You can train in ruby if you want, and yes you can setup a secret base with raichus or jumpluffs and mix records and fight them for speed EVs as well. With regard to secret base training, you may want to use the move deleter to rid of moves that would harm your pokemon first, such as having jumpluffs that only know splash for example.
