Paper Mario's. PM grants wishes while Kirby's the ultimate weapon for him. I'll quote. Plus wishes are a lot better.

Kirby series: it is the ultimate weapon often used by Kirby to defeat the final bosses (see Star Rod).

Paper Mario: it was created by the star spirits in order to grant wishes. Bowser invaded the star spirits kingdom, Star Haven, and stole the star rod. Mario eventually defeated Bowser after rescuing all seven star spirits and retreived the rod.

Mario's, you can go invisable with that thing upon other wishes you can ask for, thats powerful stuff. =P Who knows if it will return though. Kirby's Star Rod is pretty cool though. I liked using it in the final battle in Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland.
