2013 Winter Friendly Wi-Fi Tournament Discussion Thread

Planning phase; sign ups do not begin until Thursday, February 7, 2013.
Battling begins on February 15th,, 2013!

The 2013 Winter Friendly is a Wi-Fi Tournament being held by the Pokemon Company International, or TPCi.
Trainers from around the world will be able to battle each other from the comforts of their own home, or where Wi-Fi is available.
The prize for participating in this tournament is the

Micle Berry.
Be sure to sign up on the official Pokemon.com website, as well as on the Global Link to ensure that you can participate!

What’s special about this tournament?
For the first time ever, we are not participating in a Doubles Tournament!
This Wi-Fi Tournament’s Battle Format is Rotation Battles!
What’s more, we are also allowed to use all 649 Pokemon, barring Chatot.
That’s right! Been looking for a reason to use that Keldeo you just downloaded? Maybe Victini’s your favorite Pokemon, and hasn’t had a reason to see some use. Or maybe, you just want to wreck everything with your Mewtwo and Darkrai.
The possibilities are endless!​

This sounds AWESOME!!!! Though I'll need to construct a good team since there's going to be a ton of people using Ubers. As for it being rotation battles, THIS IS MY BREAD AND BUTTER!!!! Ever since gen V came out, Rotation Battling was one of my main points. Granted I've played few games competitively, but 95% of all the rotation battles I have played competitively ended in victory. As for ingame, with rotation battles, I was able to get a PWT streak going all the way from Kanto Leaders to World Leaders X10 NON-STOP!! So I am really excited for this, but gotta make sure I EV a couple of my legends, because it'd be bad to go against others who have Ubers. We might even see a couple Mews in people's teams.

Granted I've played few games competitively, but 95% of all the rotation battles I have played competitively ended in victory.

Don't get too cocky now; no one knows how this is going to turn out. People can get pretty serious about winning in official tournaments like this; I've found tournaments to be much harsher then random matchup.

Just make sure you're joining for the fun of it, and don't get too disappointed if you don't get the score you want. Though, it may be easier for you, being in seniors...I've only got experience with masters and the autumn friendly.

Oh, and I'll be making an RMT pretty soon for this tourney. To be honest, I have absolutely NO idea how this will turn out for me. I haven't played rotation battles... EVER. Sounds pretty fun though, and I really like using my Ubers once again!

Yeah, it's B/W2. I think that only those ones have the age divisions, and I'm certain they're the only ones with the Therian forms and Kyurem formes.
