3:3 Poison Team

Thepain

Time Is Running Out
EDITED!

This is my Poison 3:3 team, that I have had some difficulty with upto now, this has been edited now thanks too all of the suggestions made so I thank you all for that, so im gonna update the descriptions and hopefully this team can undergo even further adjustment to improve it, I thank you all for reading, and I thank all those who have commented upto now.

Venomoth (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Wonder Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Baton Pass
- Toxic Spikes
- Sleep Powder

Since I switched out ferrothorn for Suicune, I figured since this can do the same job as Roserade, I would add it to the team as it can also Quiverpass to Suicune, Gengar and Volcarona very effectively, giving them much more longeivity, unfortunately this is annihalated by taunt, although fortunately this is rare to run on leads in todays metagame (at least as far as I have seen). Basically Venomoth replace Roserade, as it can do its job just as effectively AND Quiverpass.

Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hex
- Venoshock
- Protect
- Focus Blast

This set was changed completely as it didnt really fit in, first of all Gengar is best as a glass cannon, and I think I should stick to what he does best, so I replaced Black Sludge with Life Orb for more damage. His moveset was changed, Shadow Ball was switched to Hex, as it is also STAB, although thanks to Toxic Spikes, its base power is raised to 150 (including STAB bonus) making it much more effective, T-Bolt was replaced with Venoshock for the same reason, STAB + Status bonus means it is at 195 base power, these two moves alongside Life Orb bonus should annihalate anything that doesnt resist them. Focus Blast remained for power and coverage, and Protect is to stall out with poison.

Toxicroak (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch

All that was changed here is that Payback was replaced with Sucker Punch simply for priority, this can save the sub if the opponent is low on health, but still, Bulk up Toxicroak if used right... is devastating, sub up on a status or switch, then bulk up untill the sub breaks, at this point, set up another and drain punch, rinse and repeat, Sucker Punch for coverage and priority.

Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]

I switched Hydreigion out for Latios as personally I prefer Latios and I think he makes a brilliant revenge killer, also STAB Psyshock gives extra coverage as none of my team have an offencive psychic move, Draco Meteor is a brilliant STAB revenge killing move due to regular switching, Surf for coverage, and HP Fire for annoying Ferrothorns, sided with a positive nature and Specs, and maximum EV's, can 1HKO Ferrothorn outside of rain.

Volcarona (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 144 SDef / 112 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Rest

No changes here, Chesto Rest bulky volcarona is rediculous, if you can use it right, quiver dance untill you cant take another 2 hits, chesto rest, and unleash devastation... also bug buzz STAB covers my poison half's psychic weakness. Also if your able to Quiverpass one or two Quiver Dances from Venomoth it can get straight to sweeping ( or get to +6 before taking advantage of chesto rest).

Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Rest
- Toxic

Suicune has replaced Ferrothorn as Suicune works amazing with Venomoth, he is a great recipitant of Quiver Dance, alongside his bulk, and leftovers, he can Toxic stall with Rest ( Meaning Ferrothorns stall ability is overshadowed here, he also shares the leads fire weakness, meaning he is useless to switch after the lead, and he is a poor recipitant to Quiver Dance ), Ice Beam to take on dragons, and Hydro Pump for STAB coverage. He is also able to cover Venomoths Ground, Fire, Rock and Flying weakness', Volcarona's Rock and Flying weakness', and Toxicroak's Flying weakness.

Thanks for reading this and any help is appreciated once again, this team, this team is working much better now although for some reason I dont feel that volcarona really fits in, dont get me wrong he's amazing, but it just doesnt fell like it belongs... meh it might just be me since ive never been the best when it came to team building, but thanks again, all help is appreciated!

Gengar can't utilize Black Sludge at all; it is waayyy too frail. Although Protect can scout, Destiny Bond is typically better.
Sucker Punch is typically preferred on Toxicroak; you don't want any Psychics out there screwing you over.
Hydreigon: Belt can feign Choice pretty well, so if you want it... Sounds good. Life Orb is something to consider, however.
Volcarana... I think HP Water would be better, because after a few Quiver Dances, it will take out common counters to it. Personal opinion.
Ferrothorn... I don't know if he's a perfect fit or not for your team, but if you want him, it seems like a good set.

This is my Poison 3:3 team, that I have had some difficulty with upto now >.<
Im feeling really lazy right now so I dont think im going to bother with extra commentary below each set, all I need is some suggestions as to how to make it better, weather it be moveset changes, EV's, or switching pokemon out alltogether, any feedback is greatly appreciated and nothing other than constructive critique please. Thanks!

Roserade (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Sp Def/4 Spd
CalmNature (+Sp.Def, -Atk)
- Sleep Powder
- Toxic Spikes
- Leaf Storm
- Leech Seed

Gengar (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Shadow Ball
- Substitute
- Thunderbolt
- Focus Blast

Toxicroak (M) @ Black Sludge
Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Substitute
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Sucker Punch

Hydreigon (M) @ Expert Belt
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Earth Power
- Surf
- Dragon Pulse

Volcarona (M) @ Chesto Berry
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 252 HP / 160 SDef / 96 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Rest

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 40 Def / 216 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip

Thanks for reading this and any help is appreciated once again, this team, it just doesnt really seem to work well together, im not sure why since ive never been the best when it came to team building, but thanks again, all help is appreciated!

Hydreigon @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower/Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Surf
- Draco Meteor

Brilliant revenge killer and special sweeper, dragon pulse STAB, and everything else is just for coverage, also im running Earth Power and Surf simply because this is quite rare on this set.

These are the only things I can notice that could be fixed. Turn Hydreigon into a true Revenge Killer with the Choice Scarf and take the move power to the next level. Draco Meteor can always be used over Dragon Pulse, and Fire Blast could be considered over Flamethrower for that raw attacking power..otherwise, this is a really excellent team for being half poison.

Toxic spikes work excelently with suicune so replace ferro (your current staller) with this
Suicune @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 Defence/ 252 Sp Defence/ 4 HP
Nature: Calm
Ability: Pressure
-Ice Beam
-Hydro Pump
-Rest
-Toxic
Excelent pokemon. Ice Beam for dragons and, on this team, grounds that will be annoying your poisons. Hydro Pump is there for power and possible rain boost. Rest is horrible with pressure and toxic and suicune is so bulky it doesn't need a chesto berry. Toxic is in case anything avoids toxic spikes.
This is the suicune I generally use along with t-spikes. It likes to be b-passed in from q-dancing venomoths which could replace roserade. It would need sleep powder/toxic spikes/q-dance/b-pass. Makes awful taunt bait but it works exelently with other pokes. I'll leave the natures and stuff to you. If you really want you could replace sleep powder with bug buzz but I find that it's so frail that sleep is a necesity.

Some interesting changes, ill play around with all of these and decide on the team, then ill re-post it here and you can see what you all think of that =P

Unlocked, thanks for bearing with me!

Its okay, sorry about the descriptions, I was too tired to write any, and then I just made short rough ones when you requested them so im sorry if it isnt up to a decent standard

I'd run the following set on gengar:

Gengar @ Life Orb
Timid
Levitate
EVs:252 Sp.Atk, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves:
--Venoshock
--Hex
--Focus Blast
--Hypnosis/Sucker Punch/Destiny Bond/Protect

Ok, so with toxic spikes set up most pokemon will be poisoned when they switch in. This means that both hex and venoshock's power will be doubled, and with STAB, that's a nasty 150 and 195 BP respectively, add in a life orb and gengar can kill pretty much anything that doesn't resist. Focus Blast is to deal with steels who won't get poisoned. The fourth move slot is pretty open: hypnosis is always good for anoyance; sucker punch adds a bit of priority; destiny bond is useful in the rare event of gengar being unable to take its opponent down and especially if your opponent has only one poke left and finally protect can be use to stall and let toxic kick in that one time if you deem it neccesary.

Venomoth (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Wonder Skin
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Baton Pass
- Toxic Spikes
- Sleep Powder

Good set, don't change it. The only problem you might face is setting up both Toxic Spikes AND getting up a Quiver Dance once or twice. Since Venomoth is really frail and Sleep Powder has the habit of missing. You might want to think about that.
Gengar (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hex
- Venoshock
- Substitute
- Focus Blast

Original, but completely sucks if the opposing pokemon is steel/levitate/flying or if you fail to setup spikes. Sub over Protect. Substitute can scout too, since Gengar is fast as hell. And gives gengar at least one free hit if the opponent switches.
This set was changed completely as it didnt really fit in, first of all Gengar is best as a glass cannon, and I think I should stick to what he does best, so I replaced Black Sludge with Life Orb for more damage. Trait: Dry Skin
EVs: 244 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Spd

- Sucker Punch
Looks like a pretty good set

Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock/Trick
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Fire]/Trick

Firm. I love Trick so I added it as an option.

Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Bug Buzz
- Fiery Dance
- Quiver Dance
- Rest
No comments.
No changes here, Chesto Rest bulky volcarona is ridiculous, if you can use it right, quiver dance untill you cant take another 2 hits, chesto rest, and unleash devastation... also bug buzz STAB covers my poison half's psychic weakness. Suicune @ Leftovers
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef

- Toxic
No comments, again.
