3rd gym leader help!!!

Hey guys i got this game yesterday and i been playing it like crazy but i need help on the 3rd gym leader i don't know how to get him/her back to the gym and it's getting kinda frustrating so if anyone could help me activate it id be really happy. Thanks in advance.

If you are looking in Hearthome City, you are looking in the wrong place. I believe that is the 5th gym. The 3rd gym is actually located in Veilstone City. Don't worry; it took me forever to figure it out.

I'm not sure why the 3rd gym was placed in Veilstone City. From Eterna City I went directly to Hearthome City thinking that the 3rd badge would be there. If somebody could answer this question: Did I take the wrong path, or was I supposed to pass through Hearthome City in the first place?

I think you/we went the right way, they just threw a curvball at us with the whole "fight me when your stronger" thing. I mean the mob lvl's were correct going that way.

you can see who your next opponents are in your trainer cards. so you shouldnt be confused over who to fight next.

You are supposed to pass through Hearthome in the first place, but that's actually the 5th gym.

Yah, you're supposed to pass Hearthrome. I think the reason for the lengthy route from Eterna to Veilstone is to really give you experience, since the levels of the Gym pokemon in Eterna and Veilstone have a huge difference.

Ha, took me awhile to figure out what was going on too. Until I decided that this gym was much later in the game. Kinda like Norman in R/S/E. The next Gym is the Fighting Gym, then the Water Gym. After you get the 4th badge, she "might" come back. I forget when she actually came back, I do know you have to have the 4th badge obviously, but you may also have to make additional progress in the story after that still.

You have to meet her in the Contest Hall first, and you must have beaten the fourth gym. She comes back when you chase the Galactic Grunt from Pastoria City to the Lake to the east (you can find him outside the Safari Zone gate). She then gives you the Secret Medicine thingy to make the Psyduck in Route 210 (west of Veilstone, north of Solaceon) to get out of the way. She then comes and makes you deliver something to the elder of Celestic. After that, she comes back to Hearthrome and you can challenge her.

Um... Cynthia is the woman who gives you the medicine for the Psyducks, and asks you to deliver the charm to her grandmother. Fantina, the leader of the Hearthome gym who you first meet at the Contest Hall, is a totally different person. o-o

Anyways, after delivering the charm to Cynthia's grandmother and hearing the legend of Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf is when you can battle Fantina.

Fiona's not there anymore because she will not challenge you. Did you hear what she said? Anyways, go forward(or right) until you get to soleance town but if you are looking for third badge then go back to veilstone city and challenge Maylene again.
