4th gen = the last gen?

I have no idea where to put this and I don't if this is already made but...do you think the 4th gen will be the last generation? I honestly think it will be.

No. There'll be new Generations until they run out of ideas/Nintendo dies (They could move to another company, though...)/Pokémon isn't profittable anymore.

Neither happening anytime soon.

No, it's not. I'm 99% sure. From what I've heard, Satoshi Tajiri (sp?) thought of at least 1000 Pokemon so far. And the sales of the games are great enough to make it so all those Pokemon have a chance to appear.

I withdraw reluctantly.
No, I really don't, but I don't like to think of the possible next generation until we know for sure it's coming.

Why do people still throw out their conspiracy theories? Grah.

No, Nintendo knows the central tenets of all businesses: profit. Pokemon makes profit. Therefore, Nintendo commissions the production of Pokemon.

Economics really isn't that hard to understand.

lolforumz.
I'm fully expecting the pokemon games to last long into the future, when handhelds develope into such things as 'attach a node to your temple and instantly be interacting with your own personal pokemon reality' (coming summer of 2008 BTW)

If nintendo is stupid enough to drop a money maker like pokemon, then they should die, >.>

No, Nintendo will have to get another source for income. Pokemon is still popular so no way.

Yah exactly. If these were going to be the last pokemon games they'd have a more catchy name for it, like revolution. that's also why nintendo changed the name for the revolution because it freaked too many people out.

D/P is almost here!!
No,the 4th Generation won't be the last one.
I'm sure Game Freak will come up with New Pokemon for the 5th Generation and other Generations!

Look,Diamond/Pearl is going to be Wifi.
Imagine what surprises the future has in store for us Pokemon fans.

Heck no! There will probaly many more generations after the 4th. Satoshi Tajiri has already made over 1000 from what I've heard. Why would he throw away 10 years of very successful work now? But if Nintendo does give up on Pokemon, then they need to die.

No, the name Revolution was the codename.

As stated earlier, it seems highly unlikely that Nintendo would suddenly pull the plug on such a popular franchise. Let me put it this way... If Nintendo thought it was a good idea to stop making Pokemon games... then it is also a good idea to stick your hand in a meat grinder.....

Never, pokemon games will not stop until I die.
I am still 14 so the pokemon company will have to wait like 50 more years until they stop it.

^^ you're right, so in the mean time, we dont have to be worried.

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
Nah, we'll probably end up getting to the point where there really are 1000 Pokemon.

When we get to that point, god help us.

lolk. I never said the Pokemon games would end, I just said that there might not be anymore new Pokemon.>.> 400+ is a lot. It'll be hard to keep track of. And the anime needs to end soon also. 10 years already. ._.

No way. There will be many other generations. Pokemon is still popular. When more and more people start complaining about Pokemon, Pokemon will start dying...But will always exist in our hearts forever....
