Went back to the Desert Resort today because I wanted to explore the rest of the Relic Castle. After falling down several quicksand spots, I reached the floor of the castle with the maze. Going through the maze, I battled a Team Plasma Grunt and had another sage arrested by Looker.

Then, I entered Volcarona's room and saved before fighting it. I weakened it down to red health using Omastar and Mismagius. Both of them got KOed by Volcarona, though, so I ended up having Braviary out while I was tossing Poke Balls. Volcarona broke out of quite a few balls, but I eventually caught it in a Net Ball.

After catching Volcarona, I began to leave the Relic Castle. On my way out, I picked up the Earthquake TM.
Eventually, I arrived back in Nimbasa, where I healed and saved.

So, after a whole year since first finishing the plot of Pokemon White, I decided that now was finally the time to reset it, play again and watch the plot I loved so much. I went for a brand new team as well.

So, after I put all my Pokemon from that save file into my White 2 copy, I spent fifteen minutes not gaining the courage to reset it, but I did eventually. Then I started the game, named myself the thing I usually name myself when I'm taking the plot seriously (which is an irl nickname that I feel weird sharing online) and got on with it. I didn't take the tutorial seriously at all. So Nuvema Town is inhabited by a secretly evil professor, a mum who pretends she's cleaning her daughter's room only to secretly be procrastinating, a sassy robot, the dumbest person in the world and Bill Nye the science guy. Moving on...

This time around, instead of choosing Oshawott, I chose Snivy, giving him the classic Smugleaf nickname after beating Cheren and Bianca. On Route 1, however, I caught literally nothing since I had a plan for my team this time around. I gave Accumula Town a full explore before continuing with the tutorial, only to exit to Ghetsis' speech (where I argued back to him because why the hell not), and then kinda fangirled when N showed up. Smugleaf wrecked his Purrloin and then he left ominously because it's N, when did he ever not leave the situation in this game ominously...

I defeated every trainer on Route 2 with Smugleaf, then reached Striaton and the Dreamyard. I defeated Cheren at the school, then both trainers in the Dreamyard, but couldn't be bothered to pick up Panpour. Due to tactics, I defeated Chili first time using only Smugleaf, before forcing myself to use Panpour as an HM Slave. I defeated the Plasma Grunts while Bianca just stood there doing f**k-all to help, and then Fennel got her precious Dream Mkst. Before I left however, I picked myself up a Munna of my own, and I named her Kooky because... I actually don't know. Route 3, Plasma crap, wasn't hard and Smugleaf evolved, Route 3, Nacrene City. The moment Cheren stopped bugging me about his Persim Berries, I instantly made for the outskirts of Pinwheel Forest to earn myself a Tympole. I was texting my friend at the time and she was watching a Doctor Who episode involving a boy with headphones named Elliot, and Tympole always looked like it was wearing headphones to me. This one was a male, so I decided screw it and named him Elliot.

I did some more grinding before challenging the gy- or rather I would have, but N showed up again beinf ominous as per usual. Beat him again, he left while being ominous about Reshiram, challenged the Gym. It was kinda challenging to defeat the Gym Trainers, but when I reached Lenora I suffered my first loss to that bloody Watchog's Retaliate. I tried a second time with a new tactic - it worked so well that I only needed Smugleaf to defeat her (thank you Growth, thank you). I went off the moment whatsisname came in to alert everyone of the skull going missing.

I've missed playing this game so much.

The dudes and dudettes (welcome to my irony):

:496: Smugleaf (Male, level 20)
:517: Kooky (Female, level 18)
:535: Elliot (Male, level 18)

Me and my friend decided that Schoolkid Edgar is overlord of the world.

More stupid s**t from my playthrough happened. Thanks lack of activity in this thread, for making me edit my post.

So when I left the Museum Mr Fabulous showed up and said he'd help get the thing that the Plasma idiots stole. I travelled through Pinwheel Forest to get this pointless skull that served almost no relevance to the plot, and Mr Fabulous said I could challenge his Gym, before leaving me to go on the ridiculously long bridge of destiny. After appreciating the camera angles and the even-more-pixelated-than-usual MC Sprite, I reached Castelia City. There I went to head to the Gym, but Cheren collided with me for no reason except to give exposition on how he now has the Bug type badge, then Mr Fabulous showed up just after to say that he'd heard Team Fourth State of Matter were doing crap in town, and so him and I went on a field trip to the pier, where Bianca and the most unpopular anime companion were moping about Bianca's stolen Munny (and by that I mean Munna, not a weird spelling of her cash). Then the two joined us on a quartet trip back to where we just were before, only to turn left to the building opposite the Gym.

Yay Ghetsis was there! I can now make fun of his speeches! I also for some reason imagine MC berating him for walking up down dramatically when it's just kinda... stupid, to be honest, so that was funny for me. Munny was returned safe to Bianca, and she left to explore Castelia with the most unpopular bodyguard of the anime. Mr Fabulous asked for a Gym Challenge, but before I even dared to I knew that the Grass/Bug type on his Leavanny would cause some s**t so I headed up to Route 4 and caught the next Pokemon I had planned for the team - Scraggy. In hindsight I could've used a Fire type there but I don't care. I named her Margaret due to the irony of a hoodlum having such a posh and prissy name, before getting her to level 20.

I returned to the Gym, leading with Margaret, but lost - I at least reached Leavanny, so I'd say that's something. However, a simple shift in leading team members helped me win - lead with Kooky, Hypnosis the heck out of that Whatever-pede and spam Zen Headbutt until it's out of the running. Then Elliot ain't poisoned or unhealthy so he can take Dwebble down, then just fire literally everything you've got at that freakin Leavanny. Margaret called final shots by head butting it.

After that I had the double-whammy-rival-battles with Cheren and Bianca, and I won against both of them with flying colours, before destroying everyone in Route 4 and finding myself in the land of sports, dancing and the Ferris wheel (because nobody bothered to add any other amusements). I defeated the two Grunts before getting my bicycle (ABOUT F**KING TIME MATE) before healing and triggering one of my favourite cutscenes of all time.

Went to the Ferris wheel and omiNous was making his presence known. He was like "I heard there were Plasma members, let's use the Ferris wheel to see them" and I'm like, "considering you're actually the Plasma king you're both terrible at hiding who you truly are and... possibly making excuses to be on the Ferris wheel with me. The first I can forgive due to your complete lack of any social skills whatsoever, but the second... I'm all up for this please go on the Ferris wheel with me senpai." After the not so dramatic reveal, I battled N for the third time now (weird, he hates battling but he's one of the characters who does it the most... I don't care, this theme is awesome). The team coped easily with his Pokemon, and then I realised that I'd totally forgotten that N goes up to you and there's a face zoom-in and I practically melted. Do I find him attractive? Yeah probably.

After that train wreck of an amazing scene, I was forced to go to the musical area, where Sir IForgotYourName gave me a prop case and made me dress up my Pokemon. I now think Margaret is beautiful (image at the bottom of this post). I left and triggered An Unwavering Heart to the delight of my emotions! There was that emotional scene with Bianca and her dad and Elesa showing up to be a role model - as well as an actual model - and all I could think of was MC just like "yeah u go gurl!" and being like a cheerleader/third wheel on the side. After all those bumpy rides, and I left off on Route 5 crying about how hard it'll be to find an Emolga... and Elesa has f**king two of them. Haha kill me I remember this Gym battle like it was yesterday and I want to burn it with fire despite actually liking Emolga.

This might as well be an Abridged series at this point. I should write a comedy fic with all this.

The bros and ladybros (haha more irony stab me in the throat):

:496: Smugleaf (Male, level 24)
:517: Kooky (Female, level 23)
:535: Elliot (Male, level 24)
:559: Margaret (Female, level 23)

I feel like I should be taking this more seriously, but I don't care at this point. I've already dubbed my team as unstoppable gods that have the ability to defeat Edgar (which in this insane world is an impressive feat) and I've come up with nicknames for characters when I feel like it. I don't care, I'm f**king loving it.

Also, here's that gorgeous image of Margaret:

[imgsize=450]http://i.imgur.com/5ZqXCZ9.jpg[/imgsize]

Still going with this. Why can't this thread be more active?

So today I... did quite a lot.

While searching for Emolga, I found a Cinccino instead and decided screw it and caught that instead. I named her Phenomena after the name of the gimmick that allowed me to catch her (it sounded really pretty ok). After realising that she literally wouldn't learn anything else, I went to Route 4 to pick up the Dig TM and taught it to her. I destroyed Elesa first time (heck YASS take that for every time you defeated me the first time I played this game), before meeting Alder aka the Life Goals Guy.

Went across Driftveil Drawbridge to the City of the name name, before Clay and his accent gave a stern welcome before asking Cheren and I to help with Team Plasma. Cheren made an extremely valid point when he said that we'd have gone after them anyway but ah well who really cares we're doing it anyway. I picked up a Rocky Helmet on the way to the Cold Storage, before entering said Cold Storage and winning against everyone there. Found Team Incompetence inside a freakin box before I beat four of them, and then they f**ked off. I went to the Gym, only to see Team We-Only-Need-To-Care-About-Two-Members getting saved by Mr Monologue-While-Walking. After that I challenged the Gym, and I realised just how great the idea of giving Phenomena Dig would be when she wrecked Clay's Excadrill. However, before he gave me his TM, he said he was gonna go to Chargestone Cave and asked me to go see him there with the promise of a TM if I went.

Beat every trainer on Route 6 before meeting Clay. He gave me an unexciting TM before allowing me to enter Chargestone, where yippety yay omiNous is back! What proceeded through the whole of Chargestone was either N roasting someone, Clay roasting someone or Juniper roasting someone, with Grunts being boring in between. Bianca yet again did nothing to help, but meh. I've decided to keep a Burn Heal with me just for the sake of the "better have a Burn Heal" joke at this point (this is why I have no life). N refused to hear opinions before asking if I had life goals, which I agreed to since I know it triggers once of my favourite quotes later. N then f**ked off while being mysterious as per usual, then I reached Mistralton City. Met Skyla and Father Juniper before I went to Celestial Tower, where I caught my final team member - Litwick - and defeated every trainer there too. Then challenged the Gym of severe safety hazards before beating Skyla. I left to see N show up again, where he basically repeated some crap he already said a while ago, before WOAH that escalated quickly. He just straight up asked Smugleaf about me (while dropping the "Pokemon don't lie" roast that I adored), and Smugleaf just gave away my personal information like duuuuude, Stranger Danger? I'm ok with this and I'm not ok with this. Screw it, I don't care, I ship them. When he said "the fact that you two will be separated does break my heart a little" made my shippy side happy.

So then I went to Twist Mountain, where I barely beat Cheren and had to go heal again and buy items before entering the mountain. I did the crap I had to do there, and then I got to Icirrus City. I went to the Gym that only gets relevance to the overall story arc in Memory Link, and beat Brycen rather easily thanks to Lucifer (the Litwick I named after the devil) and Margaret. Then I went to Dragonspiral Tower, where I beat those annoying Grunts, got the first internal monologue from MC (it was epic despite only being one underwhelming sentence) and heard the BURN BABY BURN Easter egg. Then I got the 3D cutscene with Reshiram which was epic AF before N just kinda said some intimidating crap before leaving. At least he wasn't being particularly ominous this time...

I then caught an HM Slave Unfezant to take me back to Nimbasa City, where I then cycled to the Relic Castle. Then there was the pointless quest with Team Ginger Templars before I walked back to Nacrene and received the glorious Dark Stone of plot convenience! Used HM Slave to get back to Icirrus before going through Route 8 and defeating people (not bothering with the Moor) before battling Bianca and winning. Then Tubeline Bridge happened where MC and Ghetsis had a stare off before I finally could be bothered to move further, when Mr Pacing Obsessee basically revealed that there was some hooky-dooky s**t going on behind the scenes before leaving to chat to the people of Oopaloosiddddd City. I listened with Alder, Drayden and Iris before the two Dragon specialists took me to their house (with me healing in between) and told me the Unovan legend that I only just realised is different to what N has been rambling about this whole time. I left off standing outside their house and not challenging the Gym just yet since I still need to grind levels a bit on Route 9.

Outside? What is outside? This concept is unfamiliar to me.

Da squad (proof that I write these at midnight when my mind is running crazy):

:497: Smugleaf (Male, level 39)
:518: Kooky (Female, level 39)
:607: Lucifer (Male, level 39)
:560: Margaret (Female, level 39)
:573: Phenomena (Female, level 38)
:537: Elliot (Male, level 38)

I'm happy with how better I'm doing this time around compared to last time. Although I'm rather conflicted on how fast I'm playing the game. At this rate I'll have completed it in a faster time than SM, although I did have more things to do when I played that. Maybe I'm just getting really good at this game - so far I've only used two Revives in the whole game and I've only lost twice. Either way, I've had fun poking at it. It'll probably get more serious when N's Castle gets involved since the scene that touched me the most in all Pokemon media happens there.

A couple of days ago, I did a couple of Musicals, since I hadn't really done anything with that feature during this playthrough. Anyway, I entered my Mienshao in the "Forest Stroll" show and then did "Exciting Nimbasa" with Bisharp. Picked those two shows since I love the music that plays during them. I slapped a bunch of props on my Pokemon, performed very well on stage, and "won" both Musicals. I saved one of the pictures to be displayed in the musical hall and received some props from fans.

Next, I went ahead and finished the Team Plasma sage plot since I only had two left to find. First, I went to the Cold Storage and found Zinzolin. Oh, I also picked up the Scald TM there, because I was too blind to notice it on the ground earlier. After that, I just had to help arrest Bronius or something like that, so I had to go through the annoying Chargestone Cave.

With the sages taken care of, I need to decide what to do next...maybe I'll rematch Cheren & Bianca.

Hey so it's been a while since I updated.

I decided that for the last portion of the game, since it's one of my absolute favourite parts of a video game to date, I was going to take it really slowly over the past week. So I did a bit of grinding until everyone was at level 41, where Lucifer evolved into Lampent. However, that change barely lasted any time since I was training on Route 10, where there's a guy with a Dusk Stone.

So then I returned to Opelucid with all of my Pokemon fully evolved, and challenged the Gym. I won first time, before leaving to go fight Cheren. He was surprisingly easy compared to how I struggled last time, although that may be because all of my Pokemon were at a similar level this time (all level 42 at this point). I then actually nearly cried at the scene with Cheren and Bianca after because it was so sweet. Route 10 music, combined with two characters who were saying emotional stuff, plus thinking of my comedy fic and how I could incorporate this emotional scene into that (the last one's a bit weird but will be understood one day) really hit home to me.

Then things got strangely badass when I went through the gates to Victory Road, with each instrument adding a new layer to the Victory Road theme every time I passed through one. Then Victory Road and hoo boy I'm already getting excited for the league. I defeated every trainer within Victory Road, thus getting everyone to level 44, before entering the league and stocking the f*ck outta healing items. I was defeated once by Caitlin due to bad choices, but then second time going round and I defeated all four members.

After that OH MY F*CKING GOD YES! Reached the champion room only to see N had already defeated Alder (which begs the question: does N count as a champion?). They had an argument, where N hit quite a vital nerve on Alder by talking about his dead team member. Then he told me that the champion room was "no place for the legendary dragons" (which made me laugh since it kinda shows that N is like "this needs to be dramatic because it's a climax! Idk what my sense of humour is) and summoned his castle. And then Embracing One's Duty came on and an utterly badass scene occurred with the music, N saying to battle him in the castle, Cheren and Alder both being inspiration al and stuff like that. Walked along the bridge slowly since I wanted to savour the epic music.

Then N's castle happened and I got all the sweet, sweet backstory from Anthea and Concordia, saw N's old room and confronted Ghetsis outside the doorway to the massive climax room. Then I saved because I WANT TO SAVOUR THIS MOMENT.

Damn I love this game it gives me butterflies in my stomach - and those butterflies must be having a rave of some sort.

The team which I've grown to absolutely adore:

:497: Smugleaf (Male, level 46)
:560: Margaret (Female, level 47)
:537: Elliot (Male, level 46)
:518: Kooky (Female, level 46)
:609: Lucifer (Male, level 45)
:573: Phenomena (Female, level 46)

Today I remembered why this game is in my hall of all-time favourites.

This past afternoon, I headed over to Route 5. I found Cheren there and, after talking to him for a while, got him to go to Victory Road. I followed suit and ended up fighting him once again. The battle wasn't difficult for me to win, but it didn't go quite as smoothly as I thought it would. I'd forgotten some things about his team because it'd been quite a while since I had to do this fight, so I got a Focus Sash surprise from Samurott (resulting in me losing my Vileplume to Blizzard). Also, his Haxorus's Dragon Gem-boosted Outrage put my Omastar in the red HP zone, making it useless for the rest of the fight (I really wanted to use Omastar some more, against Simisear at least). On the bright side, my Mienshao did pretty well.

Once Cheren was defeated, I healed at the Pokemon League. Haven't fought Bianca again yet, since a) it wasn't the right day (forgot that was a thing) and b) if Bulbapedia's correct, I have to fight Alder first (yeah, I should do the Elite Four rematch next).

Today in White 2, I went to check all the Hidden Grottoes. However, when I was heading to Route 23 through Giant Chasm, I encountered a shiny Piloswine in the cave. I caught him with one Dusk Ball. Inside the Hidden Grotto on Route 23, I found a female Zangoose and caught her too. The rest of the Hidden Grottoes weren't that interesting, though. I checked my PC and learned that the shiny Piloswine sadly had a Serious nature and the HA Zangoose was Hasty. Then, I saved the game.

Last week, I took a break from Black and played White 2 for a bit. First, I flew over to Virbank City and explored it and some of the surrounding areas since it'd been a while since I'd seen them. Then, I sailed to Castelia City. I headed into the Gamefreak building and decided to do the battles against Nishino & Morimoto. I defeated most of Nishino's team using my Ferrothorn thanks to its Leech Seed + Toxic combo, but I did switch to Rapidash to take down Lickilicky. For Morimoto, I just used my Hydreigon.

After that, I went up to my Join Avenue. I purchased some more berries and won some prize at my raffle place.

Had an urge to play Unova and did not feel like continuing the playthrough I have in White so I started over Black version and chose Tepig. I hurried through the beginning and earned my first badge, did the Dreamyard mission, and captured my second team member, Pidove, after beating Cheron on Route 3. Around this time I realized my next team member would not be captured for quite some time and my last 3 would all be captured around the same time so I quickly made an Egg on White 2 and traded it to this game. After a lot of running it hatched into a Stunfisk!

I dealt with Team Plasma in the Wellspring Cave and continued along Route 3 until arriving in Nacrene City. I defeated N again and had an easy time in Lenora's Gym thanks to Pignite and Stunfisk. Team Plasma stole a skull and I chased after them into the Pinwheel Forest where Pidove evolved. The skull was recovered and I crossed the Skyarrow Bridge into Castelia City where I took a break.

Back on Black, I remembered that I hadn't caught Tornadus yet. So, I flew to Mistralton City and headed up to Route 7. A big storm was going on there, which made getting around very difficult (I had trouble even seeing where the raised walkways were). Eventually, I made it to the house I needed to go to and triggered Tornadus's roaming.

Finding Tornadus didn't take too long, fortunately. I flew to Opelucid City and went to Route 9 a few times until a storm brewed. Then, I encountered Tornadus in the grass and tossed a Master Ball at it.

Now, I still have to catch Kyurem and rematch the Pokemon League. Don't know which one I want to do next.

Castelia City felt much smaller than it used too which isn't a big deal because it didn't actually take that long to explore. Bianca got a Munna stolen and I helped her get it back from Team Plasma with the help of Burgh. Next up was an annoying gym where I had to push myself through Honey to navigate the maze. Burgh was a pushover with Pignite and Tranquill and after the victory I defeated both Bianca and Cheren near Route 4 then headed north the desert route. I made a quick detour west into the Desert Resort where, after a surprising amount of encounters, I caught my fourth team member, a Maractus! I defeated the trainers in the Resort and headed into Nimbasa City where I took a break.

Decided to rematch the Pokemon League tonight. I started the Elite Four rematches with Marshal, since he's usually the toughest one for me. And yeah, he was pretty annoying. Sawk's Sturdy always makes things a little more difficult, plus there was Conkeldurr's bulk and high Attack. My Braviary fainted and I think Vileplume did, too. Fortunately, things turned around for me when my Mismagius was able to set up Nasty Plot on Throh (who could only Grass Knot me lol) and then sweep the remaining Pokemon.

I fought Caitlin next, followed by Grimsley. They weren't that hard. My Bisharp was a big help in both battles and Mienshao helped with Grimsley.

The Shauntal fight ended up being pretty tough, though, for some reason. I tried using my Omastar at first, setting up with Shell Smash, but then Cofagrigus just happened to have Energy Ball. My Mismagius fainted during the fight, too, after I discovered that some of Shauntal's Pokemon were much bulkier than I thought. My Bisharp and Braviary defeated some Pokemon, but at the end of the battle they were both Burned and at red HP.

Finally, there was just Alder left. I lead with Braviary and had it max out its Attack with Hone Claws. Meanwhile, Alder's Accelgor tried Focus Blast a couple of times (missed once), then just wasted its turns using Me First. Once Braviary was fully set up, I just OHKOed all of Alder's Pokemon.

When the game started back in Nuvema Town, I went to Juniper's lab and found Bianca there. I talked to her, but she didn't want to battle. But then I read that she'll battle you on weekends after talking to her that first time, so once the day rolled over to Sunday, I went back and was able to fight her! She was a fairly easy opponent, but I think I managed to use every one of my Pokemon during the fight, so that was nice.

My team probably won't change too much now, but it ended up looking like this:

In Black 2, I took on the Pokemon League with my Grass-type team!
:542: Threat F Lv. 59
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Sassy
Held Item: Scope Lens
Moves: X-Scissor, Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Leaf Blade
;192; Sunny M Lv. 56
Ability: Solar Power
Nature: Jolly
Held Item: Quick Claw
Moves: Earth Power, Solarbeam, Synthesis, Sunny Day
:586: Den M Lv. 56
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Lax
Held Item: Expert Belt
Moves: Horn Leech, Jump Kick, Double-Edge, Nature Power
:591: Spore M Lv. 55
Ability: Effect Spore
Nature: Quiet
Held Item: Leftovers
Moves: Solarbeam, Synthesis, Toxic, Venoshock
:598: Mettle M Lv. 58
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Hasty
Held Item: Rocky Helmet
Moves: Iron Head, Power Whip, Payback, Ingrain
;465; Bramble F Lv. 58
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Impish
Held Item: Expert Belt
Moves: Power Whip, Brick Break, Strength, Rock Slide
First, I battled Shauntal. Probably the riskiest of the five fights. Mettle was the ace in this fight, powering through the Ghost-types with Payback. The Chandelure was dangerous, of course, taking down four other team members with Fire Blast. Sunny survived a hit and got in an Earth Power. Many Revives were necessary, but there was an opening made for Mettle to get through the rest of the battle. One last concern was Aftermath, but Mettle took little damage from that. The next battle was against Grimsley. With Threat, Den, and Bramble all having an advantage, the fight was over quite quickly. Marshal's team was more formidable. Against moves such as Stone Edge and Bounce, there was a scramble to do as much damage as possible before having to switch. I revived Threat once just in case, however Bramble was able to finish the fight. Most of Caitlin's team was no hassle. The Sigilyph dealt a lot of damage, but Mettle powered through after coming back in with a Revive. I didn't remember what Iris would send out, and I was wary of using Sunny Day, so I put Spore in the lead. Fire-type moves had been devastating throughout the game previously, so I was pleasantly surprised when my Pokemon were able to survive Flamethrowers. Some of them even lasted two in a row! Spore's poison combo worked excellently, taking down the Hydreigon and Druddigon. Bramble not only survived the Archeops' onslaught, but easily defeated the opponent with Rock Slide. Sunny came through with Earth Power, one-hit K.O. on the Aggron. Mettle had little trouble against the Lapras. Haxorus seemed tough at first, but Threat finished up the match with X-Scissor.
Far easier than I expected.

Today, I went to the transfer lab because I had some Pokemon to send from HeartGold to Sun.

After that was done, I went to Giant Chasm. I made it through the first cave pretty quickly and then started going through the annoying forest. It'd been a while since I'd been to the chasm on the first BW, so I got stuck for a moment trying to figure out how to get to Kyurem's cave. But then, I remembered about the little pond in the middle of the forest, so I went there and triggered the snowstorm.
Overall, even with me forgetting about the pond, it didn't take me that long to deal with the forest part...definitely took waaayy less time than the first time I played this game.

Anyway, I entered the back cave and saved before fighting Kyurem. I weakened it down with my Mismagius and Bisharp before chucking Dusk Balls at it. Kyurem KOed half of my team, but fortunately I succeeded in catching it before it could do worse.

With that done, I'm almost finished with this Black playthrough. I remembered that Challenger's Cave is a thing, so I will go there next time.

In Nimbasa City I took a few rides in the Subway, helped Bianca with her Daddy issues and rode the Ferris Wheel with N which was nice. After discovering N's true identity I headed to the 4th gym. Stunfisk proved invaluable in the battle with Elesa because her Emolga could not spam Volt Switch and Discharge did a decent amount of damage against them. Maractus took out Zebstrika with a few Needle Arms and in probably the quickest battle I have had with her I won my 4th gem badge. Before I could follow Elesa to the bridge on Route 5 Cheren stopped me and I had to beat him once again. Alder, the Unova Champion for now, told us about being strong or something I don't know I was spamming the A button ok. Eventually he shut up and I crossed the Charizard Bridge into Driftveil City.

Turns out stick in the mud Cheren caused a distraction and Team Plasma escaped the clutches of Clay so he and I had to go find them in the Cold Storage. Tranquill got some good experience here and I found the evil group huddled together. Cheren and I defeated them but Ghetsis showed up and whisked them away. I entered the gym and let Maractus take of the gym trainers. Clay was pretty easy too. Maractus took out Krokorok and Palpitoad while Stunfisk defeated Excadrill with Mud Bomb while it set up Hone Claws. I received my badge and headed up Route 6 into the Chargestone Cave. Team Plasma had infested the place but my team cleared them out and defeated N at the end of the cave. Pignite and Tranquill both evolved in the cave. I exited into Mistralton City and took a break.

Went to Challenger's Cave today. I hadn't been there for quite a while, so I couldn't remember anything about the layout of the place and didn't really know what to expect.

I did go in thinking that I'd be there for quite a while, though, since I thought I remembered there being quite a few trainers. However, there were only five, which wasn't bad at all. Getting around the cave wasn't that difficult either. I was able to explore every floor and pick up every visible item (as well as quite a few hidden ones) pretty quickly. So, the whole thing went much better than expected.

Once I was finished exploring, I used an Escape Rope and then flew to Opelucid City to heal. Now, I think I've done pretty much everything I wanted to do during this playthrough. Might transfer some of my Pokemon to Sun later, though (already transferred my Kyurem a few days ago, actually).

Upon entering Mistralton City I met Cedric Juniper and Skyla but our talk was cut short because Skyla saw an injured Pokemon on top of a tower. I followed her to the Celestial Tower where every freaking two steps a stupid Litwick would attack me which got really obnoxious. In the end I climbed to the top and rang a bell while Skyla, The Flying type Gym Leader, took the stairs as I flew on Unfezant back to Mistralton City. I wanted to beat the gym but was in a hurry so I just had Stunfisk destroy everything quickly which I feel oddly guilty for now. N showed after the battle and talked to Stunfisk and felt remorse or something. I hurried through Route 7 and fought Cheren again and after Alder gave me Surf. After flying back to Driftveil I surfed around a bit before catching my fifth team member, a Frillish! Now to go around Unova again now that I have access to the major HM's.

Played White 2 for a bit today since I wanted to do some battles with Pokemon I haven't used in a while. So, I added some Pokemon to my party and then went to several places around Unova. First, I went to N's Castle to fight N's autumn team. That battle was tougher than expected, since I forgot how high levelled his teams get on Challenge Mode. I had a Tyranitar and Lunatone in my party that both fainted. But, this Empoleon I had did pretty well.

After that, I flew to Striaton City and headed into the restaurant. I decided to partner with Chili against his brothers. I used a Roserade for most of the battle and was able to KO all of Cress's Pokemon with Energy Ball. Roserade eventually got KOed, though, by Cilan's Simisage or something since Chili's Heatmor's hit rate with Fire Blast was bad. I finished the fight with my Houndoom.

Finally, I went to White Forest. It'd been a while since I'd been to the Treehollow, so I wanted to quickly clear an area. I picked Area 1 and quickly defeated every trainer, using my Leafeon.

Since my last post, I've mostly played the Gen V games just to transfer Pokemon to Gens VI and VII.

I did find one more thing to do on Black a while ago (like July-August), though, and that was sail on the Royal Unova. It had been a while since I'd been on the ship, so I forgot about the time limit and people who talk too much at first. I thought I wasn't going to have time to battle everyone, but I somehow managed to find all the trainers on board that day (think it was 4) and battle them all. My Mienshao and Vileplume dealt with most of the trainers' Pokemon.

So, once the ship made it back to Castelia, I got off and received the prize for battling every trainer (probably a Lava Cookie).

Did something pretty cool I think. I had been playing Black 2 off and on for the last few months and realized that I have never actually beaten the Black Tower or the White Treehollow before so I made it my mission to beat both. After a lot of training and climbing the tower I managed to successfully defeat Benga! I actually tried to beat all the trainers for XP on the first 8 floors but decided to just find the Gate Trainer and Boss Door for the final two floors. Here was my team all in the early to mid 80's.

Krookodile was the MVP for sure with Crunch and Earthquake. Serperior's tankiness came in handy a surprising amount of times considering I expected nothing from it. Emolga was probably least used in the tower but still delivered the final blow to Volcarona with Acrobatics.

Next up was White 2. I loaded up my original file from 5 years ago (Wow!) and discovered I had already done the first 9 zones. No idea why I stopped there. Team was all in the low 90's so no one Pokemon stood out as I mopped up the final few floors of the White Treehollow.

I'm glad I got this done before USUM came out. Now to reset for a Gible/Dratini I'll probably never use.
